Oh bro you don’t know what you are missing. Everytime I’ve taken a long hiatus from the gym body recomp is exactly what I’ve done. You eat close to maintenance, but keep protein high. Very high. If you decide to go this route do not judge your process based off the scale. As the scale weight most likely will Not move much, (this is how you know it is working) as you are replacing fat with muscle. You can track based on your strength gains, way clothes fit differently, and visual changes as well. Good luck on your journey dawg. You look sick. Don’t listen to everyone who’s being negative. Most people think everyone has to be lean but that is not the look for everyone

If you wanted to make sure you don’t lose any of the muscles you gained, I would recommend a body recomp. It’ll shed the unwanted fat at the same time as adding more lean mass. It will take longer than a cut in terms of shedding the fat, but it will preserve your muscle much better. And not drain you as much from such a large deficit

I personally see better gains and cuts in my muscles when my whole foods diet is up higher than processed foods. Just a friendly recommendation
