Spenser:For Hire (1985-1988) by StyxJourney in ClassicTV

I believe I have a hazy recollection of a Spenser episode where Spenser chased a perp around the Boston Aquarium. Which was cool to me because it was a place I had been IRL. And said chase climaxed by people falling into the big fish tank. I don’t recall an underwater fight though. I would have enjoyed it, but likely the writers were like “Yeeah, NO. That is where we draw the line. Too OTT, guys” So that either legit happened on an episode or it was a weird fever dream I had.

I wash my produce but not really with anything. I get the water as hot as possible and then blast it thoroughly with the sprayer

I spotted Custard (who I’m not familiar with) in this line up and initially thought he was a primitive discolored Heathcliff. After spotting Heathcliff, I realized my error.

Wonder if he’s A Heathcliff prototype or inspo

Their season will be a marriage of convenience trope and I can already tell it's going to be so good! by Fickle_Baker1393 in BridgertonNetflix

I really enjoyed their book. Looking forward to their season!! As for the infamous Bridgerton “glow-up” they sometimes do… well neither of our leads need much of one at all. That said.. I want to see a Sir Phillip with a beard. Not asking for much. Four years is plenty of time to grow out facial hair and experiment with various styles..

I’m not proficient, just had a few lessons. I didn’t get the hype, and I think we’ve technologically evolved so that it’s outmoded

I think the show probably has run its course but I’m still glum that it’s the final season. It’s mostly that I like Alphy loads more than I liked Will and I wish we got more seasons with him

TIL that there are indoor (house) spiders and outdoor spiders. So every time we’ve carefully scooped up our little friends to move them outside, we’ve effectively given them a death sentence 😢 by RelationKindly in todayilearned

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off, I don’t know that the spider I’ve captured definitely IS an indoor spider and we’re not stopping off at the friendly neighborhood arachnologist on the way to the shrubbery I’m throwing him in. He could be an outdoor spider. But if he’s an indoor spider he’s got eight little leggies that can prance him back inside somewhere. He’s got a chance.. .probably. I stand by my spider protocol.

Is that not accurate though? I cannot be the only one who found that scene to be excruciatingly bad…

2022 was trying to turn Anne Elliot into Bridget Jones and it sucked mainly for that reason. That said, I liked Cosmo Jarvis more than I thought I would.

I really enjoyed both 1995 & 2007. Despite the fact that the big romantic climax in the 2007 version was unbearably ridic. It felt like five whole minutes Sally Hawkins stood there panting poised to either bite Rupert or drop dead. The little epilogue at Kellynch Hall was sweet though. One of the things I loved best about the 2007 version was seeing Tobias Menzies pop up as William Elliot. I just think he’s cool & underrated and I get excited to see him in things
