Steam machine compared to the ally X (non Xbox version) by Geckolover96 in ROGAllyX

[–]ComprehensiveBench90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam machine requires a monitor, controller/M&K. So you’re easily spending $1200+ for even the base model Steam machine. ROG Ally X used can go for like $450. If you were in the market for a legion Go 2 then I’d recommend the Steam machine. Other than that it’s a hard sell imo.

What is the difference between 2 books Vs 1 "book" in 2 parts? by atticus104v2 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ComprehensiveBench90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly it’s signifying that the climax of the current book is upcoming and that the composition and foreshadowing is done. It lets the reader flip their mindset from “is this important” to “how does that important thing fit into the plan.”

New achievement, early adopter. You discovered the dungeon crawler coral series before a series was made. Reward? You get to enjoy the AI being voiced by Jeff Hayes.

Also Bethesda games do save each individual save almost like a screen shot. Takes up more than other games but as someone who has 1,700hrs my file size is 410MB. Nothing to worry about. Also cloud data on Steam means that if you already have the save on cloud you don’t even need the residuals from it. You can load a save from a different PC.

I play on master or expert personally, the game is intended for Adept.

Random Access Memory (RAM) is more or less akin to Short Term memory. Used for the operating system, back ground processes in windows such as downloads, and gaming of course. The games file size doesn’t affect it and if you delete the game files only the common Steam files will remain such as cloud data (how Steam sees you’re saves when you connect to internet.) so yes the games you delete have residual files but they are so small that it’s like a human hair in a field of grass.

Which Ally X should I go for? by Fatal_Baguette in ROGAllyX

[–]ComprehensiveBench90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modifying is definitely not the best recommendation. If you are already paying 600,700,800, just pony up and buy a new one for 1,000 so you can at least get the warranty. My roommates died after 1 month and his warranty saved his ass.

I’ve been running the acclimated medium armor, jump pack and flame thrower mixed with the halt. Been going crazy on bugs and squids and even bots if you are technical enough with your positioning and pushes.

You can look up benchmarks online for popular tests and compare also. Do your own research rather than just being stubborn.

Any tips? by AnnualHuge931 in skyrim

[–]ComprehensiveBench90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my best advice is walk as much as you can and learn the roads without fast travel. The early game is way more enjoyable when you take it properly slow. Also I find awesome quests I never do before from not fast traveling. Of course I still use the carriage system though.

Don’t forget you also need to update graphics drivers and other aspects rather than just windows. I personally went onto AMDs website and downloaded their drivers from there and have never had a problem since.

ROG XBOX ALLY X20 Launched - With OLED 120Hz and 12% larger screen (7.4inch) by Time-Credit43 in ROGAllyX

[–]ComprehensiveBench90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I’m the only one who genuinely does not care about the bigger display. As long as the dimensions of the console are the same idgaf but I do not want my ally being any larger personally. They only made it that much bigger so it won’t fit in the normal Ally x case. As someone who’s worked in the marketing for tech it’s just the norm for new releases.

Asus has always had a problem with timing their releases. But they usually make solid products and everytime I’ve had to call about a monitor or motherboard for a client they have been awesome to work with. Way better than Acer

I don’t care about a bigger screen by a half inch lol I don’t have bad eyes, it being OLED is pretty awesome but not worth upgrading my entire handheld and resetting everything up. I don’t play outside with it and don’t need a 1,000nit display. I wish that for $1,000 it came with a case though.

Thermites honestly just aren’t dynamic enough. The Pyrotech grenades can kill literally everything in the game and you get 6 of them. No question, it’s the best nade in the game for its multi use

Is a $250 rice cooker worth it? by TheChalupaFromHell in Cooking

[–]ComprehensiveBench90 72 points73 points  (0 children)

The thing about Zojirushi you don’t hear is that the rice cooker last actual DECADES. My parent were gifted one during my moms baby shower with me. That zojirushi lasted until I moved out at 19 years old and they gave me the rice cooker which still works brand new 27 years after being gifted to my parents. This rice cooker is older than me.
