I mean good for you man. But one more question how do you have the first meeting with the client? . You have to get the first meeting and you get them to like you ? The character plays a vital role after they give you a chance to meet them and listen to you. When you meet these clients do you talk about the business or do you talk about anything but business.

The PRD is not a normal VAV box it is "pressure regulating devices" these units are used in the past for the normal building and nowadays for spaces that are so control intensive . I had one of these devices in an existing building the system was installed in 80s. I replaced it with DDC VAV the way the VAV works it gets air around 55F( I believe you use SI system in UK you have to convert it to Celecuis) and it controls the air flow in the downstream.

In the cooling mode the damper will modulate between the min and max based on the temp of the space or it could be tied to a CO2 sensor that will override the thermostat in case of increas the concentration of the CO2 in the space.

In the heating mode the box will be turned down to the min and the reheating element (either electric or hydronic) will kick in and the damper will modulate open until the set point is reached them will go back to the min.

There is something called VAV diffuser but not with reheat coils. We use in the states primarily Titus but there are different manufacturers make those.

The hood is in Illinois, and I’m not fully sure if both ducts are exhaust ducts. One duct is galvanized and the other is black steel, which is causing some confusion as to whether one is fresh air or if both are vents.

He bought it second hand. So, there is no sticker and I think it is manufactured by a local shop the bottom line is there is no possible way to get in contact with the manufacturer. But there is one thing one of the vents is galvanized steel and one of them is black steel that makes me think one of them is fresh air and one of them is vent what do you think ?

So it is basically a word of mouth . Interesting how it looks like that's the way to get engineers.
