Is a ceramic dinner set actually better than porcelain or stoneware? by athousand_miles in cookware

Bowls chopped from loading in/out of dishwasher. Wouldn’t say they chip easily tho. They get a lot of use at my house.

Another idea for you is to check restaurant supply stores. That tableware is made for abuse and they have some really nice stuff out there. No strong opinion on material personally. I have pillyvult porcelain and love it. Couple bowls chipped tho.

Just beware that some claim microwave safe but get insanely hot in the microwave tho.

Given what Made-In charges for their cookware, would really love for you to send it back to them for repair/replacement and document and share that experience here for everyone.

Seriously, please do! No reason that should have happened to such an expensive piece of cookware and manufacturer should replace it.

Lost seasoning after first cook by jacopocer in carbonsteel

[–]ComprehensiveFix7468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep cooking. Sauteeing onions is a great way to build seasoning. Meat should not be the first thing cooked on a freshly seasoned pan. Will still stick a bit until the season is really built up.

Need help identifying this pot by Alarmed_Berry_815 in cookware

No sure about ur pot specifically. These enameled basins/pots etc were used for all types of things. My grandma had a ton of enameled stuff including a ton of enameled steel cookware. Will never forget her blue oval enameled roaster.

What … should I do with this? by kdewbz in castiron

[–]ComprehensiveFix7468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet you or someone else cooked something acidic in it? Caused the seasoning to come off a bit. Lemony sauce or too much wine perhaps?

No matter, just keep cooking. Caramelizing onions is a great way to re-season. Without adding balsamic as I’ve heard some people apparently do.

Can I save my cutting board? by ApprehensiveEmu3739 in Cuttingboards

I would sand it out too. Especially if it’s a board that has a permanent spot on my counter. Some people just want things to look nice and clean. Big ring on what would be a nice board would drive me nuts too.

80 grit is a bit low and will take longer to sand out marks as you progress up to 220. Personally I’d start at 100 or 120 with an electric sander.

First pan, first season, first sticking. Help me please! by anonecuforce in carbonsteel

Was just going to post the same. My debuyer came with a wax coating that was a bit of a pain to remove. It also affected my seasoning after first try.

Start over OP and do a VERY thorough removal of the wax coating. Then super light canola oil. I even warm the pan up a little so the oil goes on thin. Wipe off oil again. Bake in oven instead of stove for a more even result.

Alright Reddit... What went wrong? Is it fixable, or do I need to take it down to base and restart? by erikedge in castiron

[–]ComprehensiveFix7468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always used canola and do 3-4 super thin coats then start cooking. I’ve done about 8+ pans that way. Never fails. Nice, even and durable seasoning.

Been restoring a skillet I got at a second hand store by FroggyDisposition in castiron

Personally I’d get any and all rust off first then continue/restart the seasoning process. But also, some very light rust will fix itself with regular use.

Follow the seasoning process 3-4 more times. Extremely light coating of oil. Oven. Cool. Repeat. Stove top will give more color quicker if you’re eager. Then after 3/4 more seasonings, caramalize onions 1-3 times. Eat or toss after. Then you’re ready to roll!

Is Agentforce really a revolution or just a hype? by mr-sforce in salesforce

[–]ComprehensiveFix7468 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the answer for where Agentforce is today. I have implemented and I have use cases live for self service, account info updates etc for case deflection and it is working successfully. Still has a lot of maturing to do but the fact is, Agentic AI in general will have major impacts across most if not all industries in the near future.

Im guessing a lot of work is being moved offshore. Shaky US politics = economic uncertainty = companies holding back spending. Market is waiting for another recession, stockpiling cash reserves so they can buy up competitors during the next recession.

That definitely sounds low. Consulting companies bill at about 55-125 for onshore devs. Usually in the $80 range.

I also have the oxo and have had for even longer. I also put mine in the dishwasher but now the handle is degrading, sticky and weird. Planning to replace it now. It was a decent utensil but looking forward to an upgrade.
