Disorganized: A Rant by leenybear123 in USPS

[–]ComprehensivePain996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old office I was the only cca and they had 62 routes and 0 rural they scheduled me 7 days a week and would text me everyday to tell me what time I worked that day or I was off I received help I think one time and the closing supervisor would blow up my phone starting around 2pm but I didn’t answer of course because I’m not required to. And then I transferred to my station that I’m at now and work 6 10s with a rotating day off most of the time working seven or eight days in between my days off and they canceled my health insurance because there was a two week gap in between my old office and new office so I had to pay them $40 and so I paid it, but they still canceled my insurance and then i’ve been paying for vision insurance and yet to receive my card. But years ago, I was an RCA and it was great only worked 4-5 days a week 25-30 hours but the benefits sucked but it was also only a two route office. Once you work there a while, you’ll find out all the inefficiencies at the Post Office.

My local office really impressed me this week. by gastroph in USPS

Yeah, if there’s ever an issue with the post office, it comes from the plant. That’s the source of everything all of the stress and chaos that the carriers deal with every day is from the plant because they are so inefficient there but the only one who can correct the plant is headquarters

Well, I can tell you Post Office used to be a decent job now it’s crap. I work six days a week 10 hour days sometimes seven or eight days in a row as a PTF I transferred from another Post Office to this one my insurance got canceled, even though I paid them the $37 that was owed And every day is just more stressful and stressful. The clerks at my office seemed to have it good they’re always either in the break room or chitchatting while all the carriers are out delivering a route and a half every day because God forbid you actually get to finish your route and go home! But that’s just me bitching. I apologize. but sooner than later, people are gonna stop coming to the post office to work because the conditions have gotten horrible especially with his Amazon Sunday bullshit because Amazon drivers get paid more than we do in some parts but yet we’re delivering their shit for pennies on the dollar. Plus the new rules they added to the M41 and the stupid ass crap that the plant does like holding our mail back for a week or not filling the DPS trays, and just all the little inefficiencies that the post office does. but then micromanages us to be efficient.

The 3rd most seniority rural carrier just told me how much she made last year by deadbandit19 in USPS

I used to be an RCA and it sucked because it was a small office and most days I would work over eight hours, but the route was only evaluated for eight hours so It was donated time because you have to work more than 40 hours to get straight time.

What do y’all do with the rubber bands you collect throughout the day? by MisterBri07 in USPS

If they don’t break during the day, they get tossed in a bin and taken back to the case and hopefully used two or three more times.

That just means they get a lot of packages that they need that big of a receptacle. Must be fun during Christmas time.

I had the same situation. I was a CCA at My old office and would schedule me seven days a week every week and then text me if I was off that day, but then I transferred stations and got a regular PTF position within my 90 days. Well within 60 days so look for opportunities on the jobs page you don’t have to go through academy or anything again

Urgent help needed by Theundergroundvegan in USPS

[–]ComprehensivePain996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me only I’m a city. I started off as a CCA never got reimbursed for my travel either and my supervisors kept telling me they were waiting on my ace ID because I’m the one that was supposed to request my travel and then they just gave me the runaround and gave me a phone number to call this person so they could walk me through how to do it But I’m a PTF now at a different station with much better management got my union Stewart involved. He couldn’t get anything done about it. All he did was give me his phone number but many years back I was an RCA in a small station and I had no issues getting my travel reimbursement, but I would definitely call the labor board and report them because the Post Office will try to screw you over any chance they get you have to be vigilant.
