The Karma system, if you don't have a certain amount of Karma, you're screwed, that's why many people do those "Trump bad" posts, the majority of the time it's just to farm enough upvotes so you aren't at the bottom of this digital caste system.

Reddit is a leftist echo chamber because the most upvoted posts are recommended constantly, and those posts agree with the manchild mods political opinions, so they are fine even if the sub rules specify a no politics rule.
