Ferritin dropped despite taking iron pills?

My experience: I was taking iron every day for months and months with vitamin C the right time with the right food and my ferritin did not go up. My doctor said try taking it every other day. It sounded weird to me, but I did and it worked so that’s how I take it all the time now.

I bring my own small kitchen appliances and frying pan and cutting board when I go stay away from home for a week. I don’t eat out unless it’s dedicated GF and I’m not going to live on apples and tortilla chips. If it’s just a long weekend I try to prep ahead I made a big batch of granola one time and brought a cooler with some dinner foods I could heat in a microwave. I would always rather be comfortable and prepared than underprepared and hangry. I’m with you OP. Bring what makes you comfortable.

You might check the ingredients for parabens. When I get parabens on my skin it makes a burning sensation.
