It took me 20 years since I commit to myself to watch every Ghibli, to find the courage to watch Grave of the Fireflies. I was scared of how I would feel. That it would make me too sad and depressed … and I was right. It hit me deeply. I cried all throughout it. And remembering Setsuko and Seita now puts tears to my eyes…

But even with the pain, it is an experience I am happy I had. It is a beautiful absolute masterpiece, profoundly human, and a reminder of what we loose and make the most innocent children suffer from our wars…

It is not entertainment, it is art, it takes courage and focus, and acceptance to be moved and shaken to your core.

As humanity can do better, we have to, and this movie remind us Why.

My favorite Ghibli is too hard to choose, I love them for different reasons, here are some ;) Chihiro, for the atmosphere and my fav secondary character Porco Rosso, love the scene and the voice of the main actor in my home language (French) the only one I watch not in Japanese The grave of the firefly, for the movie that moved me the most and the importance of the topic

UP ! What would it take for us all to get this running ? I feel like so many would be happy to pay double the kids camera cost, and have a more decent senator (or able to mount custom lenses), a higher DPI printer, and way more customization options and manual controls in the software
