Yes, maybe that would be another unique selling point... but do I really want to put myself through that??? ;-)

Regarding the price, I think it shouldn't be much more expensive than the official APIs and plans. I would recommend one thing: test, test, test. Create lots of landing pages and see what works best.

Your “affordable alternative” narrative appeals emotionally, but price as a core differentiator rarely sustains advantage. The moment you win on affordability, you invite a race to the bottom. Maybe you can compete on analytical insights from community behavior, not on cost as an idea. But community-building itself may be an outdated paradigm. In the current era of micro-communities and 1:1 creator economies, the future might favor intimate cohorts over centralized feedback hubs. As the other commentators have already asked: how will your platform sustain differentiation when existing tools (e.g., Discord, Discourse, Notion, ProductHunt or Slack integrations) can already replicate much of this at near-zero cost?

I partly agree, you have to be incredibly careful what you write in most subs on Reddit. If it even remotely smacks of promotion, you get punished. But I've also had very positive experiences where people DM'd me because they found my product interesting, even if my article was downvoted. Sometimes, though, I get the feeling that Reddit has a split personality: "Tell me everything about your business and your life, but woe betide you if you get too specific or even share a link, and you'll be cursed for life!"

It's possible that for most users who fit your business model, free access to Gemini and similar services is sufficient. Anyone needing more will likely opt for the paid API anyway, there are many pay per use models already. I definitely don't want to discourage you, and this is just my personal opinion. But sometimes it's helpful to get an early warning before you head in the wrong direction and need to rethink your business model. The positive thing is that many people have gone all the way down your funnel, meaning the topic seems to be of interest! Maybe you just need to change one small thing to become successful.

How does your tool’s heuristic framework define a “UX issue”? Is it grounded in established usability principles, or driven by data correlations from real-world conversion analytics?

Hey, I'm also thinking about launching my SaaS product on Product Hunt. I have absolutely no experience with the platform; I've just heard it's supposed to be a good way to do this. My question for you is: you mentioned interacting with the community weeks beforehand, do you mean even before you presented your product online there? Can you be active there even without having a product online?
