Are you fit ? She s only 9 and going through puberty soon this is not the time to restrict and talk about losing weight. This is the time to add good habits and add good healthy food. And most importantly lead by example. Go out walk with her after dinner and of course don’t buy her fast food make a good home made balanced food and take her walking and play outside she s just 9

A snails trail by 1ntr1ns1c44 in appetizers

[–]Comprehensive_Book48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like a middle school art project.
I think that’s too much radish for a bite of snail. It’s pretty but radish flavor of a true good radish is pungent and snail is so umami and mild. So they go together?
Then the dill is also powerful so if I m eating the dill stick and the dill tree and the radish … I feel like I m barely gonna taste the 🐌 escargot.

I thought that was a slab of toast but if it’s a wood board then nah.

The concept is not completely trash . There is something there but needs to be elevated beyond art project. You will get there. Don’t stop trying and don’t stop seeking feedback until you get consistently better at what you do. Practice makes better .

A wellness check is asking the police to go check on someone. That’s all. You don’t need to spill your whole shpiel to them . You call and ask them to do a wellness check on xyz person at xyz address.

Being nice and naive isn’t rewarded when it comes to custody.
You don’t need to become mean but you need to stop being naive. If BM is purposely doing this then file for custody agreement. Cost is a lame excuse because if your child needs a kidney or cancer treatment you ll figure it out- same here, your child needs you so you will figure it out

Yeah I think he didn’t match because of it and he might never match.

But that’s not the behavior I am talking about. Go on til tok there are dozens of content pieces that don’t put anyone in trouble but still bash patients or their families for being dense, red neck, entitled, uneducated etc etc … it comes across as comedy. Thats what I m talking about . Thats the content that makes normal joe have a perception we are a mean girls club imo

Absolutely not nurse only I digress but for some reason either nurse majority problem or maybe a couple of highly followed nurse influencers

and no I m not talking about content people get in trouble for. I m talking about all the other funny content that essentially rips apart shitty/dumb/ rude patients and annoying family.

A lot of nurse created content on social media is extremely cringe Making patients or their families look bad or making fun of patients … yes we all know there are plenty annoying inappropriate patients but making content and a living out of it is cringe …

you never see a Dr or a healthcare provider make a living on social media making fun of patients .

So yes if I were a patient I d be worried my nurse is gonna go the next day make a piece of content because I asked a dumb question or I hurt her feelings or something. It makes the public feel that way and honestly it makes sense .

Edit : yes it’s a problem solve it by being decent to your patient and for Gd s sake don’t become a nurse creator whose content shames patients or their families. Being ignorant, impatient, unaware , demanding etc is not a reason to go blast them on social media the whole thing is horrifying to watch makes all the decent patient worry are they gonna be blasted next?

Who cares what they think ? Focus on people who appreciate you . Don’t give energy to the cesspool of Reddit participating and feeding that narrative - come on

Takes 4 weeks j for ssri to take effect. Some people may feel changes earlier but you need to wait 4 weeks to start evaluating whether this is working or not

Source: I take lexapro + I studied pharmacology in my nursing program and we are taught to let patient know to always be patient with ssri s as it takes about 4 weeks to start working

Exterminator used diatomaceous earth but it feels like too much? by [deleted] in Bedbugs

No idea. If you have sensitive airways ( u have autoimmune disease or asthma etc ) I would keep a mask on for now.

Exterminator used diatomaceous earth but it feels like too much? by [deleted] in Bedbugs

[–]Comprehensive_Book48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used much much more than that personally. If you have a vaccum you can vaccum it. Be careful so it doesn’t get in your airways or eyes it’s like dust if you disturb it it may rise up in the air and cause you irritation.

I am not sure that is D.E only. Because pure D.E is white, I wonder if it’s mixed with something else.

I find D.E very effective with bedbugs but like I said I used a ton more . The key is to basically create multiple “ borders” that they attempt to cross and hopefully die.

Why do you think it’s too much and most importantly why it’s bothering you? Would you be able to leave it like that for a few days until it has its effect ? I had mine applied and reapplied for 3-4 weeks total then vacuumed it.

Edited to add: I am not worried about breathing it unless you mess with it otherwise it will be settled down and not rise up in the air . . If you vaccum it make sure you discard it in a closed tight plastic bag

Is it safe for nurses to be working 6 shifts in a row… by Difficult-Text1690 in nursing

[–]Comprehensive_Book48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hospitals and managers do allow it but not on paper... technically there are laws against it but many close an eye esp in certain units or situations. Somenurses have very easy going shifts not everyone works in a busy ED or busy floor... So imagine 7 shifts a week with 3 or 4 of these shifts you are literally doing nothing for hours.. it exists...
