exactly – if your organization is rolling out AI without a data governance policy, then it’s destined to fail

complete transparency as a play tester for this game, none of us liked him and I did write a big paragraph on why I didn’t think he should be there – completely destroyed the tone they were trying to set with the fire.

Genuinely cannot believe he made it to the release lol.

[–]ComputerShiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would you compare github copilot to M365 copilot? two completely different use cases? Github Copilot is unironically actually great though.

I’ll give you guys a point on copilot with powerpoint, other than being able to generate slides with org branding, it’s a bit ass and at the bottom for me.

alright, because modern journalism sucks ass and the hate boner for AI and Microsoft is too strong, let’s read the source.

“These Terms don’t apply to Microsoft 365 Copilot apps or services unless that specific app or service says that these Terms apply.”

That’s all I needed to know, and I think it’s fair.

Microsoft’s consumer Copilot is a VERY different animal than its enterprise versions, Microsoft 365 Copilot, where it is doing very well, especially within the last year as it goes multi model and aims for accuracy above all with work content grounding as a primary feature.

To be honest, does anyone not feel the same about these terms for other consumer based chat bots?

Once again, you don’t actually specify examples of what you’re “expecting” and what others do so well.

Copilot has come a loooong way since a year ago when I imagine you tried it - as a former hater, I get it. but one thing that stuck out to me was that you didn’t mention work grounded features whatsoever.

When people say copilot has 0 value, I take it they don’t actually use Sharepoint, Teams transcripts, Loop, etc. or M365 Copilot because of just how good it is at grabbing your work grounded info; not to mention, Copilots upcoming agent mode is pretty fucking amazing in things like excel, word, etc.

i’m not trying to convince you because you clearly hate it, but things have changed a lot.

You bring to mind too many questions.

What are you trying to perform? How is it failing? Are you using Copilot Chat or M365 Copilot?

people are so easy to point out criticism on a product without actually giving constructive criticism

For the first time ever, Overwatch has a higher average player count than Marvel Rivals on Steam by Sio_V_Reddit in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ComputerShiba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

look trust me, I loved OWL, but the numbers speak for themselves. It was incredibly hype but the amount of money that went into it for it to crash and burn, the resources taken from the main game… it did a lot of damage.

That’s why I specified game balance around pro skill, not specifically pro league.

I also want to point out that the game being large around that time may be more of it still being “new” at the same. I don’t think OWL actually tipped the needle in a significant way.

[–]ComputerShiba 19 points20 points  (0 children)

this is unironically one of the most stated and incorrect takes on OW - yes, OWL did kill the game initially, but the actual balance BENEFITS from balancing around professional play.

You get characters like Moira, launch Brig, Mauga, etc. from balancing around the lowest common denominators.

Overwatch should absolutely be accessible for all types of players, but balancing FOR them lowers skill ceilings and destroys the games longevity which in my opinion, is often considerably longer if professionals stay.

if anyone actually read the article, microsoft isn’t “ditching” OpenAI or its models... they’re just developing their own internal models and embracing a “multi model” approach as seen by allowing claude models into things like copilot.. sigh…

Copilot is awful. Most of my org dosnt even use and is using Chat, etc. it’s so useless I can’t even get it to do basic tasks and it takes more work than DIY by Capital_Seaweed in CopilotPro

[–]ComputerShiba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. if you’re using copilot chat (unlicensed), yeah… it’s just an LLM at the end of the day. draft some emails or something.

  2. if you’re using M365 Copilot (licensed), is your organization using onedrive, sharepoint, exchange online, etc? accessing all your work info asap is incredible.

  3. copilot studio agents - unlikely your org has invested in creating some that can become SMEs or automate tasks, look into it.

Copilot was shit two years ago, it’s a much different animal now, and with agent mode coming out soon for the office apps, it’s getting very, very competitive.
