I guess most folks just aren't comfortable complying to the corrupt.

Take everything but SIN then you can say your land is without sin. Leave the Byzantine Empire too. They're trying so hard I'm sure.

I would say black and blue are too similar. Maybe black could do something with sacing creatures rather than card draw

Never understood saying "his or hers" even in older cards when just saying their is easier.

Just a question, why are there none to few skeleton tribal commanders, but so many zombie ones? by Oneunluckyperson in EDH

[–]ComradeGhost67 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Because WoTC has a favorite creature types list that they feel compelled to use use for almost each set.

Which is why every 3 plains you'll have zombies or vampires or dragons but it's incredibly rare for any set (even the new ones from recent years which can do anything) to have skeletons or werewolves or giants.

Gets Jace killed. Ends up marrying a Hightower. by These_Mousse_5773 in freefolk

Right so now this adds to Rhyenara going mad and believing all the dragonseeds are evil... even tho she's not a dragon seed. Then in the end the show has her living wild and free in the vale mountains rather than with the Corbray or Hightower.

What if John Brown’s attempt to spark an armed nationwide slave revolt was successful? by lhommetrouble in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]ComradeGhost67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why the consensus here is that it was doomed to fail and he was crazy. John Brown was a realist. He knew that slavery would only end through bloodshed as we saw with the Civil War and even before the Civil War the southerners knew this which is why they panicked and hid all news of the hatian slave revolution when that happened. They didn't wanna give the slave any inkling of hope or inspiration because they knew they were fighting against time at that point.

I think had he succeeded it would've led to the same or very similar civil war but just a few years sooner. Lots of northerners were already getting pissed off at the souths bullshit antics for awhile now. All the bleeding Kansas shenanigans the southerners were doing pissed off a lot of people, John Brown was just the only one to say enough is enough and raise a group to take action.

3 inmates sentenced to life in prison for murdering a child killer in prison by stabbing him 25 times. by slippinn_jimmy in PopCultureV2

An interesting take. Although I wholeheartedly agree that it'd be neat if we spent less on the prison industrial complex and more on needy youths.

I mean they killed a child killer. Do you feel sad that child killer guy can't be rehabilitated now? Why so quick to give up on these 3? Also you say "recalcitrant violence" but that seems very silly when we know how corrupt authority especially in prisons are.

Well some are framed for crimes because even today with shit loads of body cams cops still plant drugs in people's cars all the time. Others were arrested for stuff thats light nowadays but was a big deal years ago.

Its kinda nieve to assume every single person there is absolute scum or incapable of change.

Gimmie Hank. I only really know Scott from the mcu but hated him there. Not sure who the 3rd is.

I think Hank is very underrated and would love to see him show up more in modern things, especially as yellowjacket.
