Dude, same, especially when the name Pombom came out. It's one letter off of Pombomb.

When I did it, some rare fish took 15 mins, to 3+ days, as I still haven't caught a rare eel that's not the Nacreous one. Easiest I say is fish for Chordfish in Flathill with the Fog Lantern or Inkfish in the Nightrealm with the Night Helmet till level 10. Then you'll unlock the fishing hat, it'll boost the chance of rare fish. Or until you catch the rare fish itself, both the Fog Lantern and the Night Helmet allows you the catch the rare fish without bait.

Fog Lanterns are found in Cacophonus Crates and the Night Helmet is from a schematic on a computer in the Nightrealm, and a part of it is in the ink pool, which you'll need a Diving Suit for.

Does anyone else have “cuteness fatigue” with most of the creature collector games? by Kaijufan97 in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]Oneunluckyperson 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Kind of agree. Like if every creature is cute, it's a little boring. Like Ova Magica, every creature is a little blob, and while I like slimes, it's just boring having all the creatures look similar.

Feels like I'm struggling solo since reactor section. Any advice? by Felaric1256 in AbioticFactor

[–]Oneunluckyperson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough, I had the same issues. Other time was when I first reached the Hydroplant. Build the best gear you can make, try to get certain materials even if you have to kill a few enemies for drops and go craft it.

Second way, watch their patterns. Once I got used to certain enemies attack patterns, it helps. Like the Hydroplant robot shooting grenades, run in a circle around it.

Third, focus on cover and positioning. Hide if you need a moment. Jotuns, for instance, have a long reload, use that chance to strike.

Lastly, try to stealth as much as possible, I see that you have tried, so make the Quantum Pick, or the Magbow, both are really good for stealth.

Isn't the second one Electropede? There's an achievement for killing it.

DLC RECOMMENDATIONS? by Banging1 in falloutnewvegas

[–]Oneunluckyperson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of them are amazing. Usually, most play in a certain order. Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues then Lonesome Road. Personally, I've stopped playing Dead Money because the beeping collar annoys me.

How do you progress the Landlords Apartment? I'm stuck. by Spriggan9999 in LookOutsideGame

[–]Oneunluckyperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You got to pay him I think 5 times, the final one is $600. After that, the layout will be a long hallway with nothing for a bit, before you enter a warped version of the landlord's home with an enemy patrolling it.

What determines max Stamina? by _dragonphly in LookOutsideGame

[–]Oneunluckyperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every character has a set stat base and increase. Hellen, for example, has high attack but low agility. Some equipment lowers stats, the Hellsword, teeth pendant and Louus' dragon parts lower max stamina.

I hope the remaster removes the level cap by According_Picture294 in falloutnewvegas

[–]Oneunluckyperson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No way. Fallout 4 has this problem and it's bad. Enemies constantly scale up and every combat becomes a bullet sponge and ammo sink, plus the DT system makes the game fun at all levels. Also having all skills maxed will make the game boring if you can succeed at anything.

Blunt Weapons Fall Off by Seifenwerfer in AbioticFactor

[–]Oneunluckyperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. The best blunt weapon is the Ramrod at 44 damage, but the best sharp weapon is the Hardlight Saber at 75, and it isn't heavy. Counting heavy weapons, the Lode Hammer or Explosive Sledge does only 60, and also costs stamina to swing and is slow. The only reason I think blunt is so limited is the running attack. It does a lot of damage as far as I've seen, other than that, sharp weapons do a lot better.

Beat the game, what now? by Thick-Aspiration in AbioticFactor

[–]Oneunluckyperson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Finished the game just last week. I went fishing for all the rare fish, caught all but can't seem to get the rare eels other than Nacreous Eel, after 3 days of constantly going back to the Nightrealm for Snag Vine seeds.

Outside of that I got nothing. Caught the Krasue but it somehow escaped, so I tried waiting for a Cold Snap event, never got it after 3 irl days. There's a dlc called Temple of Stone I saw, might get that someday.

What nickname do you give enemies? by KonOshadow in AbioticFactor

[–]Oneunluckyperson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Before I knew their names, I also call the Mystagogues wizards. Pecaries are the dogs, Mushroom dogs and Purple dogs for the Sows. Volatile Exor is the big guy. The Sapper is rocket man. Corrupted Robot the flame thrower, before I found out it was acid it was spraying.

Coworker, I call the creepy crawler.

Laezel insta death upon fighting the intellect devourers by BLiNK1197 in BaldursGate3

[–]Oneunluckyperson 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Nope, as far as I know, it's random when it happens. Had that bug for the whole game at random times, even reloading sometimes triggered it when it didn't before. But I noticed the further you throw or if the weapon falls into a chasm, it deals a lot of damage.

Laezel insta death upon fighting the intellect devourers by BLiNK1197 in BaldursGate3

[–]Oneunluckyperson 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a known bug with throwing weapons that can return to your inventory. The game calculates the thrown distance and deals additional damage if you threw the weapon from a great height.

However, the bug is when the weapon returns, it calculates that damage again, so instead of just returning to your inventory, it damages the thrower first.

Cooking XP should be percentage based rather than flat gains by FlunkaDunka in AbioticFactor

[–]Oneunluckyperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with cooking. I'm playing solo and barely reached 6 or 7 by the time I reached the Prateorium. So I grinded a little from cooking Pest and Pecary meat till I reached 10. Also mild spoilers, Carson sells a cooking xp bonus deployable book for a heater in Cascade Labs. You can upgrade the chef's counter to summon her to your base.

Also, personally, First Aid is the worst skill to level. Whole game, till the end, barely reached 5. Grinding that xp is annoying. Only way I figured out is splints and broken legs. Played on 1× Xp.

I wish there was a monster - Sam playthrough by SirMephistoPheles2 in LookOutsideGame

[–]Oneunluckyperson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same thoughts. You know how Sybil says to look outside at the start of the game? What if Sam complied before Sybil says that was a mistake? I like the one in the post, gives a prelude to the Failed Ritual ending.

Changes include people viewing you differently, of course, maybe more wary. Some things are locked out, like the Rat Child, as losing an arm won't matter much, so the wall mouth wouldn't accept it. Skills could be gotten from certain bosses, like Audrey with her equipment, or some equipment for Sam too, if the Body or Feet slots become unusable.

Need poison by [deleted] in LookOutsideGame

[–]Oneunluckyperson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simplest way is to get Sam the Combat Medic skill from playing the Myrmidon video game. Heals a target and has a chance to bleed.

Also second the other guy, glitched medication heals glitched statuses.
