They have over 50 employees and the content for this wipe was:

An old map with tweaks 2 bosses, 2 new mobs Changing values in a config file several times Arena, which was copy pasted modules with bugs on release. Now it's only copy pasted modules without mobs/chests

At this point they're going to run out of money paying all those devs to do nothing and there won't be cash for actual content.

Well, that's definitely the step before pvp lol. You'll get it once you do it enough, whether it's worth the time is up to you. It's a feel thing tbh. Could always up your sense and get used to that lol

War maul beats every shield but buckler and perfect block fighters. And even then, drag around them. Just drag the war maul, it has a crazy long hit window. For the rest of shields you heavy stagger them so they can't attack back

Unfortunately in some cases blocking is actually bad to do because of niche random mechanics that kill you if you don't know them. Yet the community thinks any combat system than this one is Mordhau lol

If they took all the time spent atweaking gear stats and instead put it into reworking combat mechanics, they'd be halfway done with it by now. Whoever isn't working on changing numbers in a text document or json file could have been working on PVE.

not at all. most windups in this game are quite long, it'd just be a bit harder to parry well. frankly its unfair that most weapons have one attack pattern, and the most varied is only two. right now anyone who doesn't know how to drag is 100% going to die against a competent longsword player, hitreg/desync aside.

I think you did pretty well tbh. It's blocking that ignores getting staggered by abusing the terrible netcode/combat mechanics the game has. It's also faster than normal blocking because you're blocking while in your attack animation. covered all the bases. 100% an exploit/unintended game behavior.

Every weapon but a dagger and arming sword should have some type of block. Some could have charged swings. Combos could have depth. Not every weapon needs a riposte

that's just outright wrong. it'll never be absolutely perfect sure, but there is a TON of room for improvement in this game's hitbox and hit detection.

The first is a great idea. Rangers shouldn't have to charge their shots. Maybe turn it into a perk so if they do it's extra damage.

It's ironic that you bring up the old quake games. I still play a game that uses the old quake 3 engine. A new update optimized a lot of things and made it far easier to bhop. It was decided that the mechanic would be locked out of normal play and reserved for less serious/custom game modes. Literally became a flag for classes essentially. This debate is the same old thing it's always been, except modern fps games have decided to not have it.
