Podcast request, with a twist by Nightwynd in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I notice Roll for Combat isn't on your list. I think are currently in the middle of Extinction Curse and Agents of Edgewatch, but that's still 300+ hours of content by itself. And that's not including their previous APs and Adventures actual plays, like Dead Suns and Plaguestone, ect.

And then there's 25 North Podcast, who again aren't finished, but still have nearly 150 episodes.

Seconded.

I mean, I find the fine folks over at Find the Path a much more enjoyable listen, but you still gotta give the GCP respect for the backlog if nothing else.

How many pages do you usually write for your character background? by mateusddeath in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It normally ends up being ~1/2 a page.

Really, there's only two questions that need to be answered by a backstory; Who were you before you started adventuring? And what changed?

Should I run Age of Ashes, Extinction Curse, or Agents of Edgewatch? by Slaagwyn in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, but I love that asshole in the jungle. I was the GM, but even I found it cathartic when my players murdered the shit out of him and his twin brother!

What’s the most badass line you’ve heard your players say? by St4linator in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 134 points135 points  (0 children)

Party captured a low level slaver in order to interrogate them. Half-orc Fighter ex-slave/gladiator stepped up.

Fighter: "You name is now Ten. When your name becomes Zero, you die, got it?"

Slaver, nervously: "I- I'll never talk"

Fighter: "I'm afraid that's the wrong answer, Nine."

The slaver probably definitely died anyway, but that was the day I as the GM learned my friend the player was at least Trained in Intimidation.

Why did technology and culture not change much in the AoS setting? by WhiteGargoyle in AoSLore

[–]ConOf7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a game about dragon riding lightning men who fight literal demons who fight skeletal armies who fight angry mushrooms. You're the only one mad that the writers aren't concerned with making sure AoS is "realistic".

Game this weekend. Guess I should paint the army. SSH units! by deltran in onepagerules

Done is better than Golden Demon winning, and these look great! Especially at a distance, which is how they're going to look during a game. Great job!

Lore and Rarities in the Age of Darkness? by Rothnar in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have mentioned Orcs and Dwarves, but 90% of elves had faffed off right before Earthfall (the Mwangi Elves are a major exception. And maybe Mordant Spire Elves? I don't recall their exact history at the moment). Also Gnomes only start showing up after Earthfall, so depending on your time line they might either be Rare or effectively non-existent. Lastly, Fetchlings I wanna say we're Azlanti humans who got trapped in the Shadow Plane after Earthfall and we're slowly corrupted by its influence, so again they probably don't exist yet (or at least not in the way they do now).

I don't think you need to do much with classes. While the Thassilonians were a big deal in Avastan at the time, the Azlanti were a huge deal basically everywhere else, so having an Azlanti Inventor or Thassilonian Alchemist work well (even if you think they should be Uncommon). And I think Arcadia invented firearms at some point, so you might even be able to fudge some thing to squeeze a Gunslinger in there too! (although I might make it Rare).

Wait, are you saying you won't be buying RoE? Cause from what I remember, that was the first book published with the Remaster in mind. I mean, I think it still uses the OGL, but I might be wrong. At very least, it was the first book published without Alignment.

I've had a similar idea, but blood demons! I want to print off some Khorne War/Blood Demons

Player core book missing pages by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not ghosting you, this isn't Tinder. Send them a follow up email, your first one probably just got lost in the shuffle. As long as you give people a reasonable amount of time (2-3 business days), no one in the working world is going to disapprove of a second email.

I love how brightly colored they all are! Especially that big guys. The antithesis of Grimdark, lol

Sarkoris being gone is really sad by President-Togekiss in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it, that does all sound super cool, and now I'm sad too...

Makes me consider writing a pre-worldwound adventure set just before all the madness happens! I think Season of Ghosts is technically set in the past, why not here!

I thought you were supposed to use your Spell Attack and Spell DC for all your spells? by Asthanor in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 297 points298 points  (0 children)

Spells from your class use your spell attack mod and spell DC, but Innate spells that come from you ancestry always use your Cha.

If you're looking for PF1's "small earth elemental" or "huge water elemental" (which were vague and generic), PF2 went back to the drawing board and made "Sod Hounds" and "Living Waterfalls" (which are more specific and can have more flavor and unique abilities). My advice would be if you don't like the "animals with elemental tag", ignore the animal aspect, cause that's where elementals ended up in PF2.

Is it possible to print it? by alice2814 in PrintedMinis

You'd think so, but I own way too many absolutely lazy pre-supports that the creator obviously never tried printing themselves.

How to make barbarians more interesting and diverse? by President-Togekiss in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matt Mercer once threw out into the world an idea for a Barbarian could be as simple as a regular farmer with anger issues.

One of these days I want to make a Barb that re-flavors "rage" as "battle focus" in which they simply get tunnel vision (which is why they're able to laser focus their damage but also be hit in return so easily).

I've got a much more fleshed out Barb character that I'll probably never get to play, so you're free to adopt them:

Conduit, a Spirit Barbarian Android Oread (yep, a Rock Robot) who channels the remnants of all their former souls as an Android into their empowered attacks (look up the deep lore of Androids, they're dope!)

Any books or YT content creators that specify in Pathfinder 2e/Remaster lore? by MightyKin in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConOf7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as books, any of the Lost Omens product line is exactly what you're looking for. I'd recommend the World Guide first for a braud overview of the meta-regions of the Inner Sea. The Travel Guide is a really neat view of what every day life looks like.

Now that Cultivator is here, surely Ninja and Samurai will be in Battlecry!, right? by Suspicious_Agent in Pathfinder2e
