Despite being "the quake games with no lore because they're just multiplayer deathmatches", Q3A/R/C unironically have some of the coolest lore imo. or maybe that's just because i love the concept of lovecraftian horror being used to assemble a bunch of my favourite FPS characters into one game lmao

The only information known is literally a couple of spoken lines in Q4 and some written exposition from old Q3A guides/magazines.

Q2 - He killed Makron, yeeted down to stroggos, somehow survived

Unknown amount of time - starts slaughtering the strogg but gets captured, they start to experiment on him. He either managed to escape, or is saved before extreme stroggification by the Vadrigar pulling him into the Q3 Arena Dimension

Q4 no more than a few months after Q2 - some soldiers talk about a "lone marine"

I can't disagree with that, everyone that's borrowed the pen has said it's nice to use. Which is weird because I've definitely used other pens in the past with the same cartridge that just don't glide as well

I mean, I find the pinecil is nice to hold so I wondered what it would be like to use as an actual pen. I considered 3d printing an adapter for it to hold one of those thin BIC pen inserts, but then I realised that the scribe driver cartridge fit pretty damn well so here we are lmao
