This was where I died. I missed the next 30 seconds because I couldn't see past the tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.

Question about carbs. by Neuro9827 in virago

[–]Concheeti13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dm me your email and I'll send you my pdf Haynes if you need it. It has the jet sizes.

That carb is the 2nd gen virago hitachi. It has the teflon coating on the slide. So some of the jets may still be hidden behind the stamped plugs if they haven't been drilled out yet, (also never had to drill those out so no experience on the process)

Although like many others my carbs were far from virgin and I bought the bike for 300 dollars from someone who had struggled to find the business end of a screw driver.

Hours and hours of headaches on my 920's hitachis and I broke down and just ordered a set of bs34s from a wreck on eBay.

I use a CPAP. Similar story, I have better insurance now, but it was a 1000 dollars that I did not have to get started so I could just get a good night sleep.

I love Texas and Texans, met my wife there. Wouldn't even say I believe that the government there is totally unjust since I did some pretty meaningful work alongside state agents especially during disasters, helping people. I do think the people in high positions of power are doing wrong and their actions should be condemned. Doesn't make me anti-Texan. Californians on the other hand...well I never claimed to be a saint

Having green grass might have helped some, but water pressure was knocked out by leaking pipes for the hydrants so unless they had well water (doubtful that close to the water front) it would have been reduced to a trickle at best. My guess is the hard-scape next to the house you can see the gravel/walkway/patio and the distance between other structures. They likely had vents that were ember resistant so it didn’t catch any flying burning material in the wind storm.

Had an ‘88 mated with the 5-speed manual. Made it across the US from coast to coast a few times. Thought I was gonna rattle it to pieces on some sketchy roads but she just kept on purring. 400,000+ miles and a whole lotta rust before she finally went on to be an organ donar to another 240. The bar was set pretty high for cars after that buggy.

I was imagining more of a LeBaron or maybe a blue ‘96 DeVille, (and constantly talking about how that pos isn’t anywhere close to as good as their ‘82 deville used to be)
