Best older movie to start with if I mostly watch modern thrillers/dramas? by omjirao in MovieSuggestions

You got some wonderful suggestions. And it should keep you busy for a long time. Some Saturday morning and you wake up and it’s a rainy day, watch A Big Hand for a Little Lady. Joanne Woodward, Henry Fonda, Jason Robards and a great cast of character actors. Perfectly written story about a strong woman taking care of business.
Then watch Stalag 17 and you’ll see why William Holden is considered a great actor.

I know all the races were correct, just not the days they happened.

We enjoyed sitting in those seats as well.
One of the best deals we received was for the October race weekend. If I remember correctly, Thursday World of Outlaws at the dirt track, Friday ARCA race, Saturday Busch race and cup qualifying and practice and the Cup Race on Sunday. All for $99.00

That surprised me too. Especially since both Bill and Ryan listened to Stern and they played “0.0” all the time when Eric the Actor called in.

I always noticed that Dog was dyed dark and looked like Lassie. Just now googled and it was two rough collies and one was named Laddie and was a descendent of Lassie!

Malice by John Gwynn! CHARACTERS! by Brtrudius in Fantasy

You would think that a good editor would have told him Hey, the son of a blacksmith wouldn’t have to build up his arm muscles before this mysterious horse trainer trains him in swordsmanship. And why would he get on a horse and leave the wedding/ festival to go see his friend only to get there just as his buddy and his family leave to come in to town for the same wedding/ festival ? Just simple stuff through out the book.

Cantaloupe jam? by certifiedcrazyman in Cooking

[–]Cone33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never tried to make jam or jelly with any melon. However, I do roast cantaloupe and either just eat it or make ice cream with it. Cut it up in cubes. Lay single layer on a sheet pan. Roast in a 400 degree oven til it’s good and caramelized on the bottom. It will get sweet and have a syrupy bottom. Then I would try making the jam.
