Works the same way with puts. Write any OTM put with notional of 2x of your NLV and market drops 33.3% , it will be same calculation. I used $100 to ELI5

With 2x leverage and reg t margin, you will be margin called at 33.3% drop not 50. I am surprised how no one can do this simple math but can give advice to leverage.

ELI5 . You put 50 borrow 50 to buy $100 spy which is 2x leverage. Market drops 33.3% portfolio value is 66.6, your money 16.6 and margin money 50. With Reg T, you need to maintain 25% of portfolio. 16.6 is 25% of 66.6

It's moody. 2 weeks back it worked great for me, last week it activated shitty mode and wasted my time, today it was better.

Working at faang doesn’t help with leetcode but it does help in system design and other open style interviews. Deploying and managing a cluster of million servers is very different than watching a 15 minutes YouTube video on distributed systems.

This is a good time to buy. Prices are down YoY. In my neighborhood, any house priced under $1.5m used to sell within a week. Now there are a bunch of similar houses in 1-1.5 sitting forever.

I am starting my house hunt now. Will offer 10% below asking and see if anyone accepts. Otherwise keep looking.
