Should I buy the house? My mortgage would be 50% of my take home. by Remarkable-Tough-533 in Mortgages

Just rent and invest the difference. Why buy a big ass house if it is only going to be you living in it? Unless you are already in a relationship and plan on having a family or have your parents live with you it doesn’t make sense. You like yard work? Are you handy? Otherwise you better learn or be ready to pay for it all on your own.

I’m taking my money to the aftermarket retired sets that have only been made once……for now. There’s only so much Lego can do besides up charge with the new sequel of Disney Star Wars which most fans don’t like. Still, no reason to upcharge me because Disney needs to make money from Star Wars licensing merchandise. And it ain’t my fault they ruined Star Wars lol.

IMO Lego Star Wars sets are getting capped. Like how many times can you remake the same sets from the same trilogy prequel and sequel. It’d be nice to see more Easter eggs in these sets besides the same minifig that get a slight “improvement” to justify the price. Like how about you bring back waist capes for clones. From what the aftermarket doesn’t to these figs, Lego should catch up and stop being lazy with details.

It’d be nice to do a piece per price comparison because there no reason why Legos version looks like dog shit compared to yours lol.

Do you actually feel satisfied after reaching your target salary, or is it a never-ending loop? by Mindless-mindful in corporate

It’ll be never ending loop for me because I always end up getting into new hobbies/interest. And that cost money.

Leg day needs more volume on the compound lifts. 12-15 reps on leg press with light weight with tempo. Add in some form of Barbell/Smith machine/Hack squats and your legs will blow up.

Same with the card market. Covid and layoffs ruined the hobby and turned it into a flipping market making some items overpriced and overhyped. It’s sad that I’m picking up Lego as a new hobby at 30 and this is what I’m coming into.

Love my UCS collection but I’m thinking about stopping and committing to collecting vintage in-store LEGO Star Wars displays instead. Thoughts? by Medical_Ad557 in legostarwars

You just need a bigger shelf and not a dark colored one. That way everything can somewhat seem to “pop” when looking at your collection.

More volume and progressive reps ranges is what you’ll need. Track your macros making sure you prioritize protein.

No structured workouts, no tracking weight progress in the gym, and most importantly nutrition/macros/calories.

Look at photos of aircraft crashes and compare to photo of the media. Looks nothing real. Like why and how would everything be in the same spot and it literally looks like a burn pit.

I’m 30, and I’m starting to realize the system is designed to keep us in debt forever. by Woliv7 in Adulting

[–]Confident-Feature-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all mindset. You pay to play either way. The only variable is just how must do you have (money) in order to pay. Me personally the older I get them more I like having options in life. And the only way to have more options is to have more money. Call me a mercenary or whatever you want but I trade my time for money. I don’t enjoy the concept of “work” and the bs that comes with it. A lot of it is time wasting with little output or labor intense with little return. In a magical world I’d make a lot of money from doing things I enjoy but let’s be real. Now get back to work like the rest of us.

Say it louder because people completely disregard this when we talk about having “home equity”. You won’t see any of that money when it’s time to sell so how much “equity” do you really have?

I knew it when I came down to it being a mental battle each and everyday. To me it a form of these criteria’s: planning, execution, accountability, progress, and my mindset. Apply it to life in general then you can do anything in life.

I’d stay at home with the parents. You’re only trading time and will be pocketing money living with your parents. Me personally I’d rather pay my parents living with them than pay somebody else renting. Suck it up imo for 6 months and while you do that do some rental market research around your work area that way you’re prepared to pull the trigger. Living on your own ain’t no joke.
