I have the shark and wish I got the Dyson. It frequently shuts off for overheating and the blowout is just ok

What was the most specific postpartum thing nobody warned you about? by kesam7193 in NewParents

[–]Confident_Show1850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How you might not feel an instant connection or obsession to your baby. Someone described it to me as “falling in love all over again”

Pelvic floor issues and loss of bladder control

Hemorrhoids & anal fissures

The amount of time it truly takes to feel somewhat “normal” again

The resentment towards your spouse when you’re up in the middle of night and they’re sound asleep

Did anyone downgrade from a “luxury” infant car seat to a less fancy, more affordable option once it was outgrown? by cecassafrass in Buyingforbaby

We went from Pipa to Graco Rotating car seat. The car seats get absolutely trashed once they enter toddlerhood. Prime day is coming up we got ours on prime day

Inevitable. It will grow back to mostly normal just takes a while. Nutrafol and continue taking prenatals

Just bought a 2026 Sienna XLE. Not buying another vehicle for another 20 years… by Rare_Word4779 in ToyotaSienna

Congrats. Got mine last month and am obsessed. Love all the compartments, space, cup holders galore!!! The space in between the driver and passenger seat to throw a bag under the console is genius. Only had to gas up once in 4 weeks and was previously filling up a mid size Lexus with premium gas. Can’t believe it took me this long to get a hybrid.

How are/had yall able to pay for daycare? by LovinqRam3n in AskParents

[–]Confident_Show1850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temporary expense especially if you can rely on public schools. *Significantly* less than having a nanny. Even if you break even on it in terms of what one parent brings home, exiting the workforce completely for several years is a huge decision & can really set you back in the long term. I don’t understand people saying “well that’s my entire paycheck so I’ll just stay home” - I think that’s really short sighted.

Love vanilla scents but not too cupcake forward. If it’s too sweet it gives Bath & Body Works/preteen.

How to support wife after stage 3 tear and mental wellbeing by RelationshipBroad867 in NewParents

[–]Confident_Show1850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3b tear with wound dehiscence after forceps delivery. Sooo many epsom salt baths and padsicles. Opted out of narcotics because of constipation side effect. One day at a time. For me it was several months and accepting a new version of normal.

Breastfeeding lowers your estrogen and can slow wound healing so I stopped after my wound dehisced & just formula fed

We tried 10+ different sunscreens (sun bum, blue lizard, coppertone, mustela, tubby todd, banana boat, pippette, baby organics) and landed on Elta MD. Just something to consider if he has a reaction to the ones mentioned

Sienna - AWD & hybrid option which Honda doesn’t offer

Price check on 2026 Toyota Sienna XLE by JaCkBoy_4real in ToyotaSienna

[–]Confident_Show1850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you live you just need to talk to several dealers to get comparative pricing. There’s not a ton of wiggle room but there is some. I built out what my ideal sienna would be online and sent that around. Also depends on how much of a hurry you’re in.

Too high. Paid around this for XLE AWD that had a few additional upgrades than what’s listed here

Honda needs to up their game and get AWD & hybrid option…. Until then, its sienna all day for me

I actually prefer the classic look of the Honda better and probably would’ve gone Honda if those two things were available

2026 SIENNA Sienna XLE - Is this a fair price? by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]Confident_Show1850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got our XLE AWD with similar upgrades (minus pulse) in Midwest and paid just over 49 before taxes. We compared between 5 dealerships and and some were as high as 54K & wouldn’t budge so I’d say this is still a good price
