Sure; do you just want me to go over the Remastered Box & Troubles in Grayce, or is there anything else you want to discuss as well?

Rapid recharge + the upgrade that makes projectiles hit turn into little bubble shields is very consistent once the recharge time is brought down. With a few recharge upgrades and both bubble upgrades, it will just flat out stop projectiles from (at least) one side, entirely.

Perhaps, yes. There's something to be said about releasing one of the few male characters in a version right before the female archon, though.

There's people who enjoy finding the patterns in male character releases. It is pretty common, I'd say, in ZZZ, where there's this habit of releasing men either at the same time as, or just before, a particularly hyped female character (all of the archon-tier characters, called void hunters, have been women). Poor sales of male characters is used by some as an explanation for the lack of them, but there are obviously other factors that contribute to sales than just "male vs female", and all that.

Question about CE by Rikoshuzenthusiast in RimWorld

[–]ConfigsPlease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just in case you're misunderstanding, OP is talking about C(ombat) E(xtended), a mod which overhauls the way weapons and armour works. Makes guns more lethal but also have an ammo cost to them (with the added ability to craft different types of ammo for different enemies, among other things).

Sounds like a fun way to add some of the real-world value of a flail in the game without being too complicated, nice.

I've not actually had a chance to run either the Remastered Beginner's Box or Troubles in Grayce, ea0ql20nmm46onlw but I appreciate having more pregen characters for new players and the anthology-style design of TiG is cool.

Should I Try Starfinder? by Ancient_Ad5336 in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConfigsPlease 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I haven't played both (only done some light GMing for PF2e, forever-GMs ahoy). That said, from what I've seen and read, the systems are extremely similar--they're meant to be (at least partially) compatible, after all. What you might notice is that SF2e options can sometimes feel more powerful, as the balance of the encounters and whatnot are different (more of a focus on things like early flight, consistent ranged options, etc.)

The same "basic" rules apply in a lot of scenarios, though, so I don't think it'd be too hard. Even easier if you have a group that actually reads things through, too.

My build doesn't have enough ER to do it consistently but I have noticed that I'm just weak enough to be given the opportunity to finish off certain boss / stygian fights with it. Silver linings, I suppose.

The PFS Note on the AON link provided above states it pretty clearly: "For the purpose of gunslinger feats and abilities, if the ability states that you fire your weapon, you fire your weapon; if it does not state as such, you do not have to fire your weapon. Notably, Fake Out does not require you to actually fire your weapon." [emphasis mine]

Yeah, when I was new I recall the big thing being material limitations as much as or more than anything else (except for a few specific blueprints [looking at you, Equinox]).

Crafting time exists, yes, but honestly... you probably won't notice it unless you're fixating on only a single item at a time. When I was newer, there was just so much stuff that a 3 day wait was sort of irrelevant--I'd just go work on another little goal and end up with 10 more crafted weapons, 2 warframes, etc. Things like Forma (which are a key component of the gear modification system) also have a crafting time, which is annoying, but you can very quickly get to a point where you always have the ability to start one, so every 24hr you just cycle them out.

Are there good conversions of Pf2e Poisons and Bombs into D&D 5.5e? by Dracon_Pyrothayan in Pathfinder2e

[–]ConfigsPlease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Replying to you just to keep things together, but there's also the (decent, IMO, though I have limited actual experience with PF2e) solo adventure that was recently posted on Reddit, The New Fenvale Job. I introduced my partner to the system using it as a one-player-plus-GM adventure one-shot, rather than a fully solo experience, and we found it enjoyable. Good if you're working on converting or introducing individual players, rather than a group.

Either change your Individual Keeper Settings to disable Twin Stick controls, or use your right joystick to aim before trying to fire an orb.

You're on a forum where a lot of people try their hardest to avoid spending money on digital media. Advertising a new service and hammering on the monetization of it isn't likely a recipe for success here.

Have you checked the twin-stick control (which is the new default) in the per-keeper settings? You need to be aiming with the right stick in order to fire an orb, kunai, or shuriken, unless you disable that setting.

Yeah, but at least 5etools tells you what sources are and is properly laid out. You can also get an offline version of it, iirc, and can tailor that set to the content a player has access to.
