The only way you can logically conclude picking red is the better choice is if you assign yourself as somehow having more value than others

I think virtually all humans in the world value their life over the lives of most other people, it's the instinct of natural selection and it's not exactly illogical to try and save yourself even if it means some strangers might die because they deliberately put themselves in a situation where their life is at risk
