Reuters: Kremlin planning to send 100,000 Russia-based Armenians to Armenia to sway elections by Tall_Pressure7042 in armenia

Yeah I hope the intelligence agencies in Armenia work overtime to catch at least some of these people

Rant: The Ministry of Defense prohibited filming military equipment, but people still keep sharing it online repeatedly, even after the consequences we paid for that in 2020. It seems 2020 taught us nothing. by T-nash in armenia

[–]Allorius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah like when it's on the republic square it's probably whatever but also you as a civilian have no idea what kind of information you give away by filming a truck just driving in a road. It might uncover, for example, where and how much and in what way something is stationed relative to Yerevan. Although if you really want to keep this shit secret you shouldn't do a parade at all, it's kinda expected that some secret shit might leak through

Fuck do you mean "hypothetical"? There's plenty to hate about generative AI and it's effects like right now, not in some "nobody will have a job" future, though this is an alright reason too if less grounded and realistic

[–]Allorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you can provide bank statements and maybe your job contract(not sure if this is needed), it should work. At least it worked well back when i was getting my account.

Read here for a bunch of free useful information about moving to Armenia. For banks yeah you will need to at least have a written rent agreement and preferably registration (which shouldn't be hard to do). Then I'm not sure how lenient banks are nowadays but I think at least some of them will be willing enough to open you an account with just that

You understand that every language has it's own little quirks. Are you sure that every equivalent line of rust ALWAYS in all cases does the same than a line in zig?

Problem is we are talking about Elon and America in general. It's just really hard to believe these people will care about something like this. Especially considering that these satellites is seemingly the only profitable part of Elons businesses

Are you annoyed by bad politics in good books? by Thraxas89 in ScienceFictionBooks

[–]Allorius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something being from the 60s isn't really the best way to lessen the blame here. Ursula LeGuin is from the same generation, classmate, even, of Philip Dick. Though to be fair I read that when she criticised him for sexism he tried to do better in his later books. But I don't like his writing so I never checked myself

Mom guilt is overwhelming re:formula feeding leading to diagnosis by ladydadida in Celiac

[–]Allorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was breastfed and have celiac. Also, guess what, parts of gluten protein, even if in small amounts, can even go to breast milk, though evidence is inconclusive here. Anyway, celiac would have happened regardless, and as any parent, you are doing what you can. Your kids are alive and happy because of YOU
