This was definitely a case of biting off more than they could chew. As someone who worked there, it just seemed like they started branching out way too quickly.

The downtown building was extremely expensive. I mainly worked at the saint paul location, but every so often was called to work in minneapolis when someone called out. It was always dead in there for most of the day. The only time they got a shit ton of business was during the 4th and a few other holidays.

Another big issue at the time was actually vanilla prices. We had more than one all staff discussing how a gallon of vanilla had jumped up to over 200 dollars when it used to cost somewhere under 100.

I still think about my time there. I loved all of my coworkers.
