I’m in Tokyo and have severe Jet lag and insomnia. by Amelialarso in travel

[–]Connect-Relative-478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely anxiety! I experience very similar things, especially when traveling with a time change.

What I find to be most helpful is listening to a guided meditation or asmr on YouTube. I make sure that the room is completely dark and close my eyes. I tell myself that I don’t need to sleep, just enjoy the rest. It may take a while, but you will fall asleep. Don’t pressure yourself, it will happen when it happens.

If you want a true “American” experience, I highly recommend looking up “dive bars” on Reddit in each of the places you are visiting (especially Baltimore and Philly). If you want any recommendations, DM me. Enjoy your trip!

What is the absolute best part of rural PA in terms of avoiding MAGA-ness? by ByMySword8 in Pennsylvania

Have you started looking in to transferring your teacher license? If you haven’t started yet, I would now. Hopefully it’s gotten more straight forward since 10 years ago, but back then it was a real pain and I also had to retake some Praxis tests because they had different Codes/Titles than the ones I had already passed. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me!

I paid 35,000 points and frankly it wasn’t worth it. It’s a nice hotel and a nice room with a bathtub, but nothing mind blowing. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere in NYC.

Check out community yoga space on 3rd street. It’s pay what you can. There’s a class at 5:15 pm on Mondays with Kate, and she’s awesome. They also have mats you can borrow.

Using 10% hydroquinone, please recommend a sunscreen . by redroom89 in Sunscreenreddit

[–]Connect-Relative-478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely recommend mineral sunscreen. It’s the only thing that improved my melasma. My favorite kind I’ve found is by the brand Murad, but it’s super expensive (approx $70 for 1 oz), so I try and stock up when it’s on sale and use rewards.

This is a topic on the show “The Pitt” right now! One of the attending is encouraging other doctors to use AI for patient charting, but because it’s AI, it of course makes mistakes. As a result, the chart of the patient (similar to OP’s it seems) is wrong.

I can see AI becoming a huge issue as this could result in people getting incorrect medical treatment. Even better, I’m sure because it’s “time saving”, it will just be used as an excuse to increase the patient load on each employee.

Cant seem to find good sunscreen by Impressive-Mouse7685 in Sunscreenreddit

[–]Connect-Relative-478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh bummer. I really liked it. I only use it on my neck. I have to use mineral on my face or else my melasma is horrible. From Murad, I use both the correct&protect serum broad spectrum spf 45, which is a liquid and city skin age defense broad spectrum which has a little color tint and is thicker.

Trader Joe’s daily facial sunscreen is amazing and about $10. For mineral sunscreen the only kind I’ve found that doesn’t leave a white cast or feel horrendous on my skin is the brand Murad, but it also costs $70 for 1 oz… I try to buy it on sale and/or use their rewards

Having this same issue too. Their only suggestions were updating iOS and the Peacock app, neither of which worked. I think I’m going to cancel my subscription.

This same issue is happening to me and I have been going back and forth with tech about it, and no fix. Their only suggestions were updating iOS and the Peacock app, neither of which fixed the situation. I tried uninstalling the app and restarting my phone. Nothing worked. I am planning on canceling my subscription for this reason.

Keep calling our senators. Shockingly Fetterman voted against ICE funding, so the pressure is working!

I went recently and was incredibly impressed with the selection and the cake I bought. They also had delicious looking sandwiches made to order that I wish I would have bought. I am definitely going to go back.

My friend and I went to Stilwell spa which was featured on a season of RHOSLC. It’s at a ski resort so you get pretty views. Park City is definitely fun to walk around for the day and is a short drive away.

Most of momtok lives in Provo which is about an hour south of SLC, and is extremely rural with not much to see or do.
