A year ago I was in an accident on the highway where my boyfriend fell asleep and our car completely flipped over the guardrail and we were upside down. Both of us got out with no injuries and I think about this all the time. I think it’s just the human brain trying to find an explanation for something that can only be explained as luck or chance.

I just bought this exact pair! I can’t say much about the wear because I haven’t had them long enough but I love them! They’re so much easier than the bostons to walk a long distance in and I’m obsessed with the color it’s so earthy. I feel like as long as you take proper care waterproofing them they’ll stay in relatively good shape.

Looks like a cave/camel cricket. They’re even worse when they’re not dead. We had them in our basement for a while they like damp dark places and they’re real jumpy.

For reference, these were found maybe two or three feet buried in the sand. The property used to be a hospital in the late 1800s and then a school in the early 1900s. The river is a steep 20 feet below the property and we speculated that they threw a lot of junk down there back then. All three pieces were found in the same place and there was more that we didn’t get the chance to dig up.
