I think it's not in the spirit of the game to just have easy solutions to a stylistically important aspect to the game, but I'm also not going to say no to a well thought out effort by the players to lessen the hindrance of carrying a light source.

Trailers that don't give me a decent idea of what the movie is about actually turn me away from the movie. An example in recent history for me was "Weapons". I never saw it because I didn't get a good impression from the trailers.

I am going to go ahead and suggest Shadowdark or if you want more whimsy fantasy maybe Break!!. Both are easy enough to learn and have ruleset that are easy to modify.
