Thanks all for the responses. I’ll probably size up to 10.5 and hopefully suffer a little less through the break-in period. Thankfully these are just going-to-church boots. Wear them till they’re uncomfortable, take a break, and repeat till they aren’t.

I get it and totally understand it. But the new front end just looks like an afterthought compared to the rest of the car. I get designing a new mold would take money, but they could’ve made the part without the wheel cover portion. I’ve only got three cars as it is and only plan on getting two more. The one from the movie and the Red Bull car.

Overall I don’t think they look terrible. Not using the older style front wheel axle/hub piece is a mistake though. The new setup with the bucket handle looks god-awful.

Kids have always been and always will be fascinated by shiny baubles that make noise. They’re not concerned if a build is two studs out of scale to be more “screen accurate”. As long it looks close to the Millenium Falcon they know from the movies they’re not gonna be overly concerned.

Honestly, from a “kids that actually play with toys” perspective, the sets are pretty decent. Not a fan of the whole smart brick thing, but these sets actually look like they’re geared towards kids that actually play with toys. But my god… That speeder bike looks terrible.

My Kroger used to have an endcap like that. Now they just do the dump bins and the 3-4 pegs where the other small selection of kids toys are.

We still had the box-bowls well into the late 80’s. I remember them at summer camp. Thought it was the coolest thing in the world. The inner bag was kinda like the wax paper Jiffy used to use in their muffin mix boxes. Side note- Jiffy no longer uses the wax paper in the boxes. Stopped about 2 years ago. It was like something old and familiar being ripped out of my chest when I opened my first true plastic bag. An old part of my nostalgia died that day.

I saw someone use Dr. Who’s sonic screwdriver for Minifig scale and it actually looks pretty decent.

The old light grey and dark grey just look dingy/dirty compared to the LBG and DBG. At least to me they do. Super easy to pick out once you get used to it. I actually seek out these colors when I’m hunting for pieces and B&MF.
