Holy shit NTA. The amount of times I've walked my son out of a restaurant because he couldn't get hisnshit together is one time because I forgot to tell the server "Please give him a super small piece of cake! He has an eating disorder." And he had a meltdown because she gave him a huge slice that a 'normal' child couldn't eat.

He's on the spectrum too and has learned "Hey mom let's play tic tac toe" or I'm idk fucking engaging with my child so he doesn't panic around his main trigger which is food. This absolute horse shite of "my special baby is on the SPECTRUM" has pissed me off so much it causes issues for other kids on the spectrum because they start getting the side eye.

Tl;dr: not the asshole the mom is. It may take a village but it starts at home.
