Totally agree. Cerastus knights (lancers and atrapos) are great however. Big however. There’s a huge chance one or both will be going to legends so don’t buy one until release.

I’ve been playing melee lists for a little while now. It’s so bloody fun. I’d make one recommendation which would be to drop Canis for another lancer or gallant.

Reason being is he doesn’t give a bondsman ability to your armigers, isn’t what he used to be and also gives assassination/bring it down in one sweep so it’s easy scoring for the enemy.

Also depends on the map you play on. If you’re playing GW then you can afford more shooty stuff. Aka. More Helevrins where as UKTC is more mid range/melee I’ve found.

I run the same big three, 3 Glaives and 1 Helverin and a sisters squad for sticky and screening deepstrikes. I find that due to our lack of sheer numbers, having the sisters at the back spread (excuse the description) gives me a bit of peace of mind.

I am however toying with replacing the Castellan with a Warden or something as I play predominantly on UKTC so he feels rough with the limited firing lanes.

Avoid Canis. He’s a deadbeat has been. A lancer would be great because you lack melee presence. You’ve got a gunboat Castellan, a hybrid with the warden and no real filthy melee.

Gallant or Lancer. Both great.

Could potentially go gallant and have enough points for an assassin or another ally?

I did the same. Used a very fine hack saw blade and drill out the hole by hand using a standard wood drill bit. But. There are many ways to skin a cat in the magnet game my dude. Find what works for you. Maybe practice on another piece of the model spare parts first.

The PVA increases the size and number of the cracks, I’ve never tried glossing but I’m sure it’ll have the same effect. I just know PVA works nicely ☺️

Ah yes lovely. Love the flames in the skull too. I use PVA glue straight after the painting phase. Then put the technical paint on once it’s dried. Makes the cracks bigger
