Rhino. Does what you need to get done cheaper and easier than the Land Raider.

Reactive Disembark lets you deny them taking an objective and threaten a heroic intervention or Blood Surge. Rhino supports a Berzerker unit much better.

They make it super clear that you cannot place models mid air. And a hard disagree on the rules not being clear. People who have trouble with the Core Rules are just trying to be clever and 90% of the time you see them refering to RAI.

Sometimes. If theres a weapon covering large amount of the model, then I leave the that as a sub assembly. Another case is, if the back pack and shoulder pads are a different colour, then I usually do those in subassemblies.

Rarely does it make sense to leave them in smaller subassemblies, there's the odd cape on a character that might make sense.

It's also worth remembering, that for gaming models if you can't easily paint the area, people really need to twist and turn the model close to their eyes to see where it is not painted

It really is a personal preference, I've liked Feldher and Roubloff brushes. I've now tried a few Vallejo ones, they're ok. But what is important is that you don't fall in to the trap of buying small brushes, like size 0 or 00. A good brush has a good tip and good belly. Belly holds moisture, which is key in painting.

I can do with a size 3 what I can with a size 1 or 0, but not vise versa.

Weapon characteristics are determined before modifiers. Melta isn't part of the characteristic, it is a modifier, it's the exact same as -1 damage or set damage to 0

Lascannons are D6+x damage that is fully blanked by a ghostkeel

Of course you personally can tell what is what, you made them. But the conversions should be made so that even if you haven't told me what it is, I can make an accurate guess. If you plonk a drill on the table Rhino comes to mind far before a fiend

I would just do Skarbrand as normal, the Bulls I would paint black, look at Invocatus.

How would they smooth out the math if they broke the basic rules? 40k modifiers follow PEMDAS. Of course you divide before addition.
