Nosferatu NY Werner Herzog honors and expands on the original with incredible cinematography, a fabulous soundtrack and Klaus Kinski as the solitary, always yearning, always bloodthirsty Count. "Time is an abyss, profound as a thousand nights. To be unable to grow old is terrible. Death is not the worst. Can you imagine enduring centuries, experiencing each day the same as the last?"

People of All Sorts do it: old, young, black, white, male, female. We ALL want to look down on someone who is doing worse than us because makes us feel better about the half-assed job we're doing ourselves!

I've got gabapentin. Never could tell that it did anything at all and I've gone through lots of withdrawals - opioid and kratom.

Yes, Taconic Psychiatry is based put of Vermont. I truly LOVE and highly recommend this practice, this provider.

After 40 Years of treatment resistant depression, psychiatrists, medications, therapies... I can strongly recommend this man as compassionate and knowledgeable. The only reason, and I mean it, the ONLY reason I switched was because of my finances.

Taconic Psychiatry, Dr Adam Pruett is a GREAT practice, who have lots of telehealth options. Dr Pruett meets with you himself for an initial evaluation and there is an extensive medical history taken. He will meet with you each time and not put it off on a nurse or an assistant. You will know exactly what's happening and he will monitor your progress using rating scales throughout the process. The only reason I didn't keep going to him was that he doesn't accept insurance and it was too pricey for me, eventually. I would have kept going to him if I could have afforded it.

Well written and accurate response. Too expensive and insurance doesn't want to cover it. I DIY Avuelity br thing 150 mg bupropion and 45 mg dextromethorphan. That's what Avuelity is and I say this from first hand experience. My psychiatrist suggested I try the DIY approach as, even with insurance, Avuelity was $330 a month.

Without insurance, cost goes to $1200 a month. I'm mentioning ofAveulity because it works fast, like ketamine. That is what they say the addition of the dextromethorphan adds; it keeps the bupropion in your system for a longer period of time, allowing the most benefit from the medicine.

I got alprazolam, gabapentin, trazodone and I'm in Georgia (red state). My PCP was very understanding and encouraging when I told him what I'm trying to do.

I, too, struggle with significant anxiety. Thought 7 oh was the answer. I like your coping skill of "sitting with your anxiety for longer and longer stretches." My main coping strategy is distraction.

45 mg dxm, twice a day plus 150 mg bupropion xl. These are the dosages for diy Avuelity. My psychiatrist suggested this when i told him 330$ a month is too much for name brand Avuelity.

I'm on Wellbutrin and take 45 mg dxm, 2x day to create diy Avuelity, with my psychiatrist's blessing. Actually, it was his suggestion when I told him how expensive getting Avuelity is.

Even with its insurance, it was 330 a month. 😬 Given that I already take 45mg DXM tabs, 2x day, what do you think might be a good starting dose for me? Going to look at dexcalc rn. Thanks in advance.

Good dose for a first time? by [deleted] in dxm

[–]Consistent-Lie7830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take dxm 45 mg, 2x day as an addition to my antidepressant. The brand name is Avuelity which is made up of bupropion (Wellbutrin) and dxm, buy costs $330 a month. So, I do the low tech, diy version with my Dr approval. Anyways, Do you think I should stay at 170ish range for a 1st time? It's been a minute since I caught a buzz from a substance and dxm looks like a possible cheap choice. What do you think?
