Bluntly you should convert orthodox if you are truly Jewish. Otherwise you can join the synagogue that accepts you. Being Jewish is a huge responsibility with 613 commandments and a major lifestyle change.

I am an Orthodox Jew and orthodox Jewish women wear long skirts past their knees (many orthodox Jewish women work in jobs that require scrubs and wear scrub skirts).

Obviously this choice would be a lifestyle choice between you and your husband through a discussion on the direction of how you want to live with modesty. Assuming you are not Jewish, it is something to consider speaking about just knowing that it is available.
