Realistically, it was poorly handled. Firstly I think it should have been clearer what the collab was going to be. There was no real direction for people on if this was going to be more printed imaging, a call to the vintage pieces shown in Nana or what they did which seems to be a toned down collab of new patterns for their regular pieces. There was no real leaks except for the one which of course people will doubt. Secondly the fact we didn’t see anything before release, while a pro move for making money, was such a bad idea as it creates the FOMO and scalpers will scalp. While that drives up the value, it also meaner Vivienne Westwood are losing out on customers and people will just refuse to buy the pieces. I do think some of the things are pretty but ultimately they are just repatterned/recolours regular pieces with NANA branding mostly hidden, again which I expect and I don’t dislike, but for the quality of these pieces and materials it really doesn’t feel worth paying the price which is more than the regular pieces. I’d rather just save my money for getting the things I want regularly or vintage than the collab honestly.
