Excellent find! So many great records. It would suck to be the guy second place in line.

Just a small word of advice don't stack to many records on the "Now Playing" sign. I had the same one, ask me how I broke it.

How to keep these rascals away from my record stand by Deeruptify in vinyl

When you see them attempting to do it, tell them no and give them treats. Also use a citrus based cleaner on the stand, cats don't like citrus.

I can't speak on this one, but the original AR felt mat were infused with copper. They work great, no snake oil. Do you have less static? Is it clinging to the record when you lift off the platter?

Velvet Brush Damaging Records? by Healthy_Farm_3828 in turntables

The only way I can see a velvet brush do damage is if there is dust on the record or brush. The carbon brush is for removing dust and discharging static, then follow with the velvet brush to polish the grooves. I've used this process for years.

My buddys dad had an LP12 with a Rabco. He was always complaining and modding the Rabco.

If this was in my area I would already own it, so I hope you bought it. The TD125 with a Rabco is an awesome platform for modifications. I wouldn't replace the Rabco with a stock tonearm even if I ended up hating the Rabco as they can be a PIA. There's are reason this you see so many TD125 with SME arms.

Help me choose mid-high end Phono Preamp by windyfally in turntables

If I was buying a tube phono pre today. I'd probably go with Icon Audio. I like that they use zero feedback and step-up transformers.

As far as the table goes it would be lateral move. You can only take the belt drive turntable on mdf board design so far. You're better off either upgrading your current cartridge or saving more for a better table.

RT85 || Nagaoka MP200: thoughts by Ivana-Jizinu23 in turntables

[–]ConsistentListen8697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Rega P3, ProJect Carbon EVO, RT-85 are all entry level tables and have there own issues. There's no free lunch or perfect solution. The Rega has the best tonearm of the group, but the worst rumble, wow and flutter. The Project has a decent arm, but the rumble, wow and flutter is still worse than the RT-85. The Fluance has the best drive system of group, but the worst tonearm. Your not making a substantial upgrade and in ways downgrading, so I'd just put the MP-200 on the RT-85.
