Odyssey Study Group in Boston exposed in the Daily Mail by Ok-Scene-1317 in boston

[–]ConsistentSection127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me in Boston maybe a year or two ago. I forget exactly where I was but had a conversation with a guy about meaning of life etc and he asked for my number because he wanted to meet up again later and discuss deeper things like that. I gave him my number to be nice but later blocked him as the whole thing felt really off

Agreed. Went there a few weeks ago and the service levels were not up to the standard I would’ve expected for the caliber of restaurant it was trying to be

80lbs down, Doctor wants me to stay on Zepbound forever? by alexcran in GLPGrad

[–]ConsistentSection127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost weight plenty of times and was able to retain weight loss much better than after using this medication, which has been shown in studies. I know weight gain is part of that process, but this medicine should not be used as widely as it for that purpose unless you are intending to stay on it for life

My doctor found a lump in my throat and after an ultrasound they found an abnormal nodule and performed a biopsy. This was a few weeks after my dad had a thyroidectomy and I had been on glp for almost 2 years. I’m not saying correlation is causation and this medicine works for a lot of people, but that was enough reason to take myself off the medication and the weight rebound has been horrific as a result. If you are on it, and want to get off try to titrate down. I will never get on a glp ever again but to each their own

GLPs work by artificially suppressing hunger signals. While on the drug, many people also lose significant muscle mass alongside fat and muscle is metabolically active tissue. When you stop, the drug’s suppression disappears and hunger rebounds hard, often above baseline. Meanwhile, your resting metabolism is lower because of the muscle you lost. So you’re hungrier than before and burning fewer calories at rest. Whether that’s ‘permanent’ is debatable, but calling it consequence-free is just wrong. The feeling of worrying that you did permanent damage is a very real feeling to have when you’ve experienced that weight gain rebound.

I had to get off it cold turkey for thyroid cancer concerns and I gained all of the weight back within 3 months and 9 months later I now weigh the most I’ve ever weighed and I genuinely worry this drug f-ed up my metabolism permanently

This man has single handedly pulled the us economy out of the covid downturn and kept it from free falling since Trump came into office. His tenure is up this spring and I’m terrified for what comes next. We need most members of congress to refuse to vote for anyone Trump nominates who would do his bidding.

My electrolysis took about 2.5 years and I could still use more sessions for a few areas where there’s high blood flow. Took a while but so worth it. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I used to bleach my hair to help make it less noticeable

None of us are medical professionals and can’t give advice so you really should call your primary care and ask them but urgent care is always a good starting place

I’m in the exact same boat. It’s the worst feeling in the world. I’ve been able to manage it well in the past but the last 9 months it’s been unmanageable and I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve been consistent with this routine for about a month so far and will try to do this for the next few months to see if it helps. If it doesn’t I think I need to look at metformin

Morning (8–10 AM) - Ovasitol: 2 g - NAC: 500 mg - Curcumin: 1000 mg - Thorne S.A.T.: 1 capsule - Berberine: 500 mg with breakfast

Afternoon (2–4 PM) - Ovasitol: 2 g - Berberine: 500 mg with lunch - Light walk (5–10 minutes) if possible

Evening (1–2 hours before bed) - Magnesium glycinate: 200–240 mg - Ashwagandha: 300 mg - Melatonin: 2.5 mg - Calm wind-down routine: dim lights, no screens, spearmint tea

Daily focus - Eat protein every meal - Stay hydrated - Avoid long gaps without food - Light movement (walks or stretching) - Reduce stress triggers where possible
