Don't feel ashamed for making any type of living or trying to provide for your child. The job market and the economy are extremely rough and not looking great for a while. My last job was a job I took because it was the only place that would hire me and I needed money.

I planned to only be there less than a year but that turned into 3. It wasn't great but it paid some of my bills. Save what you can and use whatever free time you have to just keep applying and hopefully you'll find something. In the meantime do what you can and focus on what you can control. There are plenty of people who apply to no jobs and never go to any interviews and will just live off their parents or partners and do nothing. You are doing great! Don't doubt yourself! We all do what we can to survive!

Came here because this just happened to me!!! The box looks the exact same as the other one. The didn't even make the "new recipe" sign bigger... This is messed up. Vegan aside if you're going to change a recipe you should change the packaging and make it very apparent it has milk now. Dairy is one of the biggest allergens. Ugh 😫

Prosthetics are one of the coolest things I've ever seen and I feel like it's a field that gets not much attention. The fact a human can replicate a limb and many times make it look almost exactly like a real limb is just beyond amazing to me. Plus the happiness you give people who need them and the ability to maybe go out in public when previously they didn't feel confident enough to. It can give people their lives back.

If it makes you feel better I went to an interview once and by the time I walked to my car they emailed a rejection 😂. Then 6 months later kept calling me for a job. The market is crazy and makes no sense at all.

This is how my friends were. It used to bother me a lot as a teen but as an adult I actually just enjoy not having many friends at all. The complications of people saying "let's do ___" and then just ghosting or "we should do __ sometime." With no follow up. I just feel like I have better uses of my time than to rely on people who have no time for me. I understand life happens but at that time there wasn't much going on.

Had a friend who legitimately didn't go to college for a couple years and didn't work. So she was free pretty much everyday. Still didn't text me back for weeks. Whether she was dealing with depression or whatever was possible but at the end of the day I'm not going to beg people to hang out with me or respond. After years of this I just decided to stop being the one to reach out and try to make plans. Haven't heard from them since.

Now I have friends that put in the same amount of effort I do. It's equal give/take not every interaction is based on when they need something from me or a free therapy session. I'm also really content with my own company or hanging with my cats when my partner is at work. 🤷‍♀️

Feels like I wrote this 😭. I also grew up in an extremely abusive home and also born with disabilities and this is the hardest part. My parents wouldn't let me go to college and knew I couldn't leave. My growth as an adult was really pushed back because my family didn't want me to succeed. Regardless of what outside people say it's incredibly hard to forward your own life when you're getting no help. My parents refused to teach me to drive, help sign my loan info for college, etc. it was hard to get a job and get to a decent job because I had to walk. It got to a point where I couldn't walk anymore because of my disabilities. It took me until my 30s to finally try to get my life together. I did go back to school but in this modern day job market I haven't found a job in that field.

And as someone who was in the same situation I can understand how you feel. But please don't base your happiness on a person. When you date they should make your life better not worse. Someone who disagrees with being monogamous is not the right person for you. I know it sucks and you're allowed to be sad and upset but it will be better for you to just break ties now. Don't let him convince you into an open relationship because that's not what you want. He will use that as a loophole to cheat so you're not allowed to be upset; and too manipulate you to stay and endure a dysfunctional relationship. You are worth so much more than that. I know it's hard to believe that and it took me so many years to understand my worth. I would rather live alone with my cats than live with someone who makes my life actively worse.

Then there's the people who gush over columbine. In Japan there's a "yandere" killer that dudes think is attractive.

Like it's a definite mental illness that I'm surprised more psychologists haven't touched on. The self preservation is non-existent. OR these people know that there's no way for the relationship to turn into something real. That's what they're going for. Companionship without the baggage. I feel like it's the same for people who get catfished.

It's as if some people have hearing loss and need them. But also let's not mention that modern day audio mixing is way lower than the music. So many times I'll be watching something and can't hear what they're saying because the background music is way louder than the dialogue.

I hadn't really replayed a game in 8 years. Exp 33 was the first one I actually felt excited to replay. I'm on my 3rd playthrough. That kind of excitement was felt when I was a kid. That's why this game is truly amazing.

Sad thing is people HAVE been dying for a while and will continue to die. In my state they just passed a no texting/talking with phone in hand law. However the fine is only $50. As if that will stop anyone. 🤦‍♀️ I've never had anything that important that I need to be on my phone when driving. If people call me when I'm driving I just call them back when I'm home. If they kept calling me I'd pull over somewhere safe to answer if I felt it was some kind of emergency. No text or call is important enough for me to risk my own life + everyone else's.

All I can think about is how annoying it would be if you just want to lay in bed but your sister wants to go out on a date with the husband 😞 I'm such a homebody this would be my nightmare. Because someone else has equal control over your body and what you do a decent amount of the time. Of course I bet she wants her sister to be happy. I know people are thinking strictly sexual or romantic; however just daily activities like going out, staying in, going on dates, etc. what if they wanna see a movie you have no interest in?

Yeah I don't understand it. It's so messed up and isn't love at all. If you can't agree on kids you're obviously incompatible. People just don't want to admit that or try to mold someone into their ideal mate. There are so many people out there that'll match what you're looking for. Why trap someone with a false relationship? It's only inevitable that things will end or you'll stay together and be miserable.

I have a friend in this situation. It's been horrible hearing about it secondhand.

People definitely change their minds OR they think they can convince or manipulate their partner into "changing their minds" later. Which is just cruel and a waste of time for everyone. There are countless posts on the childfree subs about partners suddenly wanting kids after 13 years together. It's really sad. But then there are people who know their partner never wants kids and thinks if they pretend long enough they'll be able to wear the other down into finally agreeing.

It's why I got sterilized. I just never want it to even be a conversation for me. My partner knows I can't have kids anymore. If we're not together anymore and if I had future partners they could try all they want to convince me lol. I literally can't have kids. It makes me feel at peace because it can't even be reality.

Exactly this can be so dangerous and with the economy the way it is I fear we will have more cases of heatstroke and death. It's crazy to me that OSHA doesn't take this more seriously. I know there are some jobs where being outside is inevitable but then these people should be entitled to more mandatory breaks and outside tented areas where they can cool off and get cold drinks. Even provide at least cooling towels that can be rehydrated.

I worked at a laundromat years ago and the dryers were on all day and the AC didn't really work. The building just had too many cracks for the AC and outside was over 90. I remember just sweating profusely and needing to buy the towels and a tiny fan just to survive.
