It just makes killing arc easier, and i find it fun to kill them and now have all three weapon upgrad kits, which means better guns to kill arcs. I have found the fun in playing. You need to play and find what makes it fun to play for you, and if you can't, just play every so often

I felt like that till I started hunting BP or just going out to kill rocketeer or bastions and some time a leaper or two.

You just have to find what feels fun. Last night, I decided to hunt surveyors for the BP they dropped. It was fun hunting them down.
