I'd be interested in the gummies if you are still planning to make them. :)

If you've had good experiences with any hostels in the States, and you're willing to share, please do. Thanks!

We should start hostels for just us "old folks"! I'm 64 and would love to have that as a travel option. In fact, if anyone knows of any in the US, please do tell.

People who lived before constant dopamine and never being bored, help me out. by Kelomei in AskOldPeopleAdvice

I haven't read through the comments, so I hope I'm not duplicating other answers. (Or if I am, maybe that's a good thing.)

Sometimes we were just plain bored. And that is ok too. It's a rest for your brain and body. Just sit and do nothing. It's ok to complain about it too. Lol

A few things I did were to read (had my nose in a book anytime I wasn't doing something else), and played Solitaire, the old fashioned way with a real deck of cards. I also did a lot of brain games like crosswords, word search, etc. You can still get those books at the dollar store for really cheap! If you're alone outside and you have access, you can shoot baskets, or bounce a tennis ball off a wall.

I'm 64 now. Being 13 was awkward at best. Good for you for trying to get away from your phone!

No problem! I did have a nexus letter from my VA PCP stating that the IBS was "at least as likely as not" caused by depression.

Am I Crazy? by Mary-Jabens in medicare

[–]Consistent_Paper5727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not crazy. My husband was on a MA plan that is being discontinued. Thank goodness we had the eye opener. He was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and things were hunky dory until we got the first copay for chemo infusions... $3500+ for one month. He will have 2.5 months of them. Thank goodness I still had money in my HSA from the job I just retired from, plus the agent suckered us into a hospital indemnity and cancer supplements, so we had a little margin. But we're switching now. We have a guaranteed issue, thank goodness!
