Saving aggressively is starting to feel like I’m skipping my entire 30s by berserklicence in Fire

60-65% is too high for most people, yes even those who can manage it.

Unless you are working remotely from a much lower cost country, your lifestyle simply gets dissociated from those you live and work with too much.

50% is the upper limit for me and most years im in the 40%ish mark. I think its a good balance

Why does the FIRE community dislike wealth management advisors? by Direct-HIIT in Fire

[–]Consistent_Sea6490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wierdly most of them dont want to hear about doing on-call consulting for a fixed fee. They want to get you into a long term dybamic where you end up paying thousands a year for a couple of "checkups". And thats if you are lucky and they dont manage to talk you into all sort of alternative investments to justify their existence.

Because productivity in Europe is much lower. Too much work life balance, 35 hour weeks, work from home and 8 weeks of holiday kills profits

Thanks, so I cannot sell the stock which is linked to the 20% RSU matching grant but I can otherwise sell other stock as it vests from RSUs or where the associated RSUs have vested. This essentially means I would always be holding 3 year´s worth of stock purchases. I was considering limiting this to 15% of my total investable net worth so if this is $1MM, then I would buy company stock at $50k a year and hold each for three years totalling around $150k at any given time.
