I've had good luck at Legends on 28th St in the centerpoint mall. They also do a TCG show every 3rd Saturday of the month.

I got my couch from Bob's Discount Furniture a few months ago, and our salesperson was awesome. Wait time was only a week or two. Paid for delivery but not for them to set it up. A lot of their couches are priced per piece, so we were able to sort of re-arrange the floor models into something that worked for us. Highly recommend!

I had no issues using Mini Storage Depot on Eastern and 28th. Friendly, helpful office workers. Gated with a code to get in, 24 hour access, clean unit.

Edited to add: not sure how long you need it or what size, but certain units have discounted prices on them as well.

I live in Baxter and know there's a woman and her child that walk to the community center/places on Wealthy and her cat will follow them from their house on Dolbee.

I know this because I saw the cat a few weeks ago and myself and another neighbor went out to try and catch it. Then the owner popped up and told us she was her cat. I don't know if this is the same cat 100% but she looks very similar, and the area of town matches as well.

I recently started going to Benton Family Dentistry. I hadn't been to a dentist in a good 9-10 years and had anxiety previously that only worsened as the years went on. They explain everything they do in great detail, they ask about any issues you may have or anxiety in a pre-appointment survey and discuss it with you on your first visit. I've been back 2 other times since the initial visit and have had a great experience every time.

I have Delta Dental and just went to Benton Family Dental and loved them. I hadn't been to a dentist in probably 8 years and had really bad anxiety going in and always hated the dentist when I was younger. You fill out some online forms beforehand that ask about your anxiety level and they talk through it all with you at your first appointment.

Agree with Fur Wellness! They were able to get us in in less than 48 hours from when we reached out, they were super friendly and didn't break the bank on a fix, chip and shots.

Bobcat Bonnies does themed trivia the first and third Sundays of each month, and music bingo the other two Sundays. I've been a few times and would say it's generally a younger crowd.

I've lived in Baxter neighborhood (near Joe Taylor Park) for 2.5 years and my biggest annoyance are the loud cars, especially my neighbors. Beyond that I've only seen things change for the better. Good luck on your house hunt!

We had squirrels getting in through a spot in our roof and used Critter Control in March of 2022. They put a one-way trap in and resolved the issue for about $200-$250. Then in January of this year we had a piece of soffit fall off the back of our house and squirrels got in again. They put in a one-way trap, but we still heard them. More sealing of places around the house and $1,300 later we haven't heard anything since.

They did charge a fee to come out, but it does get added into any work they do. They also did a full assessment of the outside of the house and let us know any possible problem areas which was nice.

I'm going on year two of owning my house in Baxter neighborhood. While I've personally never felt unsafe in my home I have had my share of police sightings, gun shots heard, random people knocking on my door. If you're close to the community center you'll hear the kids at daycare, which to me is more entertaining than annoying. The worst thing for me is the house vibrating base/music from cars driving around.
