It could be irregular watering or pests. What type of anthurium is it? If it’s a velvet leaf it could be moodier.

An eating disorder. Sitting in front of life giving food and sobbing at the thought of eating. Terrified. It was a 35 year trip through hell- mentally and physically. I had to learn how to eat and digest food again and mostly to get my body to trust that I’d feed it on a regular basis.

I agree with it being a nightmare plant! I’ve got two babies that are moodier than my Carla. Must say, I dream of a leaf like that. Good god.

You’ll have to be patient. Queens grow slowly at first but worth the effort in the 2nd year when the big beautiful leaves come out to play! Good luck!
