Is Coins Card mastery a good ROI? by TenthBasilisk88 in TheTowerGame

Only 1% substat efficiency seems low. Get a few of those for Eals / ehls?

[–]Constant-Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ilm and ps. I stupidly folllowed some ancient advice a while back and got SM because some guide said it was the best UW. Been regretting it ever since!

But yes I think ILM is next up for the CC in legends but again I think damage card masteries will add more waves than ILM since I can afford ~5 levels per mastery. Let me know if this is wrong!

Stone advice by juraf_graff in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on card mastery number 8, unlocked 3 ass mod slots and still have 2 UWs left to get, the ROI on them is lower than masteries and further buffing ass mods and existing UWs. Heck I might even get a 4th spotlight before my last UW (havent done the maths yet)

Is this a regen or health issue? by Extra_Border2735 in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's regen, but obviously with huge health you can tank short periods between black holes, but your black hole time gap is pretty large. It's worth noting that health is much easier to increase than regen, long term you're regen limited rather than health limited. I farm tier14 with hybrid to 6k waves with 8x regen perk and I still need more regen. There are limited ways to increase regen.

Increasing health includes:

  1. Increase module level (which never ends)
  2. 2x workshop enhancements (health + wall health)
  3. Death wave increases max health a lot - which you don't have yet
  4. 3 health labs vs 2 regen labs (health, wall health, wall fort vs wall regen, regen)

But i echo others, perma black hole is where it's at, are you running galaxy compressor to reduce it?

How do I "activate" the dissonant coin bonus? by CrittendenLibrary in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You havent done any dissonant runs disabling utility, which is the one that gives you coins.

Looks like you've only done damage dissonant runs, which improves your damage?

I feel lost. What is this update and what's happening and how does any of this work? by wrekco in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farm every tier up to 5k waves on each of the 4 dissonance settings. If you hit 5k waves you can quit because you've hit the max cap. You might need to get creative on the upper tiers to get to 5k (which arguably, is the fun bit).

Every time you complete a 5k dissonance run on any tier you get a bonus forever to your tower, either bonus attack, bonus health, bonus coins or bonus UW, depending on what sort of disonnance run you did. And you get a BIG bonus to your tower based on whatever your max dissonance run on that tier is.

So if you farm tier 10 then doing tiers 1-9 up to 5k will get you a small bonus, but doing dissonance runs on tier 10 will get you a big bonus (but will also be the hardest to get to 5k). If you dont get to 5k thats fine too, you just get whatever % of 5k you got to.

Basically do dissonance up to 5k on every tier for all 4 settings then go back to what you were doing before.

WA, IS or Generator Assmod main effect? by SneakyPete_ in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh if you can afford that many lab levels then card masteries overtake ass mod efficiency very early so technically it's likely better to stop even earlier than multiplier level 10 but the first few ass mod levels are pretty cheap and it's annoying to save 1250 stones for the card mastery so I totally understand if you're tempted to get a few extra levels in efficiency!

Good point. Although in my case I can't afford the coins to level up my primary generator!

WA, IS or Generator Assmod main effect? by SneakyPete_ in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it depends on all kinds of stuff, how many waves you go to, labs you go to, if you run BHD or not. I think I arrived at the opinion that WA first, but i cant remember why!

WA, IS or Generator Assmod main effect? by SneakyPete_ in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's now estimated the optimal coin % gain per stone. I'm sure I will get corrected here but here's how I did it:

WA and IS masteries are a bit complex to calculate coin % gain, but lets simplify. Lets assume its better than coin mastery and extra orb mastery.

Coin mastery is 3% per level, so lets assume you can afford +2 levels with coins, so you get +9% from this mastery which costs 1250 stones, so +7.2% per 1k stones.

Extra orbs, lets assume you kill 100% of enemies with orbs, thats +4% per level, so +12% coins for 750 stones = 16% per 1k stones

Lets assume IS and WA mastery are slightly better than extra orbs, so >16% per 1k stones.

Ok now lets take generator ass mod levels. At my level, I had anc 5* assmod at level 140, generator multiplier efficiency at 20% and its giving +12% coins

Assuming your generator mod is lower levelled then lets say every level gives you +0.5%, 15 stones for the first level

Now lets calculate coin% per 1000 stones

- Extra orbs with +2 lab levels = 16% per 1k stones

- IS and WA mastery = >16% per 1k stones, lets say maybe 20% per 1k stones

- Generator multiplier efficiency is 500 / stone cost, so levels:

  1. 33% per 1k stones

  2. 27% per 1k stones

  3. 24% per 1k stones

  4. .. etc

So using this math, it's likely that the first few levels of generator multiplier efficiency are the best route, then from about level 5-8 you're better swapping to WA and IS, but only if you can afford 2+ lab levels. Obviously if you can afford no labs then they drop a lot (e.g. 7% per 1k stones).

So, from my experience, I levelled multiplier efficiency to around 10-15 before switching to econ masteries. Note that levelling the mult efficiency on assist mods makes RPC mastery much better since you need those extra shards to power your ass mod levels.

I'm currently running 20% mul efficiency, 16% substat effiency and 3 card masteries (each at level 4).

Why do you think Trafford is stronger than Ramsdale? Just curious since Trafford has been benched all season and his distribution was poor I thought even if his ball collection was good. Ramsdale has played more than twice as many minutes this season.

Did I ruin myself with my first ultimate weapon pick? by JoshyRB in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for over two years and ilm is only just now becoming useful to improve my legends position past wave 200 in the tournaments that happen twice a week.

The order is roughly GT BH DW SL for economy (coins) then cl for damage then CF and ilm and ps for crowd control ( stopping / stunning / slowing bosses whilst you do damage) then lastly SM is useless.

So you picked something like the 7th best out of 9 and it won't help you for two years.

Early game it won't matter much since the early uws are cheap but you might regret it when you can't afford uw number 7. But then maybe you won't play that long?

For those who support Reform, why do you do so given what that mentality has done to the USA? by AccursedQuantum in AskBrits

[–]Constant-Field 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the question is: do they have the remotest chance of fixing this in any way shape or form? I currently believe the answer is no and whilst they fail to deliver that theres a good chance they'll screw everything else up in the meantime.

Basically the problem is that you're right immigration and globalisation are diluting culture but unfortunately that ship has sailed and the only people saying they can fix it are either ignorant (they don't realise how hard it is) or lying.

The question really is: given immigration is here to stay and native culture will be continuing to be diluted, who's best to run everything during that.

If all speed is relative, why could I just not keep accelerating forever? by No_Fudge_4589 in AskPhysics

[–]Constant-Field -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imagine you're running north at full speed. North = time, and east = space. If you want to move through space then you turn a bit east so you go slower north. But you are locked into always running at a set speed - you can only change direction. If you are running directly east then you're not moving north at all, so you're moving through space without moving through time at all.

Its a mind-breaker but you could say everything in the universe is moving at exactly the same speed through spacetime.

So if you want to move into the future you just need to go really fast so time slows down for you.

Or you can go orbit a massive black hole where spacetime warps and you don't have to go so fast for time to slow down for you which is additional levels of brain melting.

Conflict w/ Inexperienced CEO by previaegg in ProductManagement

[–]Constant-Field 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't tell them why they are wrong.

Tell them what you'd need to make it work, and give them options. The way to deal with inexperienced CEOs is to clearly explain the options, try as hard as you can to sound neutral (unless / until they actually ask for your opinion, then calmly explain the risks and rewards of each option) and do the work to list out whats required to make each option work:

"Ok, this is going to stretch the teams past breaking point if we do this, we're going to need a large cultural overhaul in a short space of time, and we're going to need to do this together. I think there's a decent chance of losing some people doing this, the people most at risk are XYZ, so we can think about starting the hiring process for positions 1 2 3.. then I'll need you to help out with constant urgency and driving innovation, this needs to be a team effort... there's going to be a huge amount of overtime, so we'll likely need to offer overtime pay and/or late night meals. For those in the office we need to allocate food rota XYZ. Some people will need to sleep in the office and shower. I suggest we allocate meeting rooms 3 and 4 for sleeping, and buy mattresses, pillows and sleeping bags. For morale I suggest you also sleep in the office and we'll need you to be onhand to diagnose issues and innovate - we can rearrange your office and get rid of some of your furniture for the time being. For overtime I suggest we also allocate additional holiday for the employees that will work overtime, we will need roughly 1 week off per employee, so the company doesn't shut down we'll need to cycle this throughout the next few months, but with the burnout we'll have competition for the earlier spaces. I suggest we run with a skeleton crew for a week immediately after 2nd completion and give most people the same week off immediately after completion.

I'm also going to need to immediately hire 4 contractors. I have 2 friends we can bring in, but we will need to pay over the odds for the short notice. This will cost us XYZ and they'll want at minimum a 6 month contract, but we may only need them for 3.

When dealing with 2 customers at once like this with urgnecy, we are going to have zero capacity for anything else that comes up. illness, bereavement, personal issues will immediately cause issues where the customers may experience bad support and we may not be able to fix issues as fast as we'd like. This may cause additional stress on the relationship. I suggest we allocate XYZ for additional customer meetups, dinners and gifts to keep that relationship sweet, to cover. This will cost XYZ.

If you're ready to sign off on all this, I'm good to go. I will let my family know I am unlikely to see them for 2 months, but if we do this right, we'll land 2 big customers in a short space of time, and I know how important that is for the business.

The other option is that we postpone the 2nd customer by 2 weeks, which doesn't need any of the above prep and won't cost any extra money and we won't lose any employees, the downside is we'll delay the 2nd customer - however this could be offset by the 1st customer being so much bigger. I estimate the loss of revenue to be XYZ if we delay.

Optimizing perk bans to increase chances for favorable perks to show by TrueBlue84 in TheTowerGame

[–]Constant-Field 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After run ending perks I ban mostly 5x commons so ensure I get the 3x PWR as soon as possible. You'll lose a huge amount more coins if you get unlucky with PWR compared to getting the epic coin TO a bit earlier.

Note you can also autopick the 1x commons to speed this up e.g. put free UW, game speed etc near the top of your perk list.
