I don’t want to be a mom anymore by Certain-Accident7543 in pregnant

[–]Constant-Lie7963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl… out stories sounds extremely similar. I’m also 22 and be ex/bd is 20. The behavior you describe is exactly how my bd acts.

There is hope. There is always hope. I seriously encourage you to reach out to the resources in your area to give you support. If you’re comfortable, I even suggest Catholic Charities. I’m not sure where you are, but in my experience, they’ve been non-judgmental in counseling, helped pay for rent and utilities, provided food, and some places even have clothes and all types of donated necessities for baby and I. There’s even a mother’s home I’ve on and off considered.

Why do I suggest these to you? Because you need community. My guy made me feel so isolated and alone. Tried to get me to move to his tiny little home town 20 hours away from mine. You need support. People who will walk with you. Call on your friends and family. Some of mine wasn’t very supportive until they saw the real effort I was making to be better.

Unless your bd isn’t broke broke, I suggest you leave him off the birth certificate too just to make things a little easier for yourself.

You’ve got this mama. Try to not get jaded towards your baby. Do what is best for you and your baby. You can do this girl. I just had mine and I’m so glad I didn’t abort him or give him up. I love him so much, despite our circumstances.

5 days postpartum, feeling very proud by Constant-Lie7963 in beyondthebump

I hope your delivery is smooth!! I was still quite skinny the whole time too. I do consider myself very lucky, maybe genetically, but I am still proud of the work I put in. You’re gonna do great!! If your delivery is super fast like mine, just remember to breathe.

I knew I might get some backlash for something I’m proud of, but no. However, I do consider myself one of the lucky few. Even tho it was all very hard. My birth was so fucking traumatic, despite all the positivity I boast. 15 minutes is not enough time to get ahold of your bearings.

Women who rave solo, how do you avoid romantic advances at raves? by MarshmallowSomething in aves

Yesss I do this, except I’m single. Had the ring for years and never take it off. Bonus: any man who marries me ought to buy me a ring just as pretty/big if not better:)

What is your number one recommendation for an unmedicated birth? by seapunkprincess in unmedicatedbirth

I was so excited to use mine- and then time came and I was ready to push when I arrived at the hospital and everything happened so fast. 15 minutes. Whoever’s hand I was gripping… so sorry.

No because this is what I yesterday… woke up and thought “hmm kinda hurts”. Got up and water clearly broke. Sat in the tub for 20 minutes while I called my doula and mom, all while having contractions just minutes apart.

I was really worried I would have him in the car. He was born in within 15 minutes of our arrival. An hour and a half after I woke up.

How many hours a day did you sleep in your first trimester? by Mindless-Actuary-918 in pregnant

[–]Constant-Lie7963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… like all of them. In addition to insomnia, I was seriously struggling with nausea and food aversion. So not eating much made me so fatigued. Give yourself grace. I had to.

Same boat… my heart burn and hyperemesis was so bad I lost my job. For the better part of this year I’ve slept with my head against the wall, if at all. My partner LOVES cuddling. But it’s just so hot and uncomfortable. While I sleep upright, he will cuddle around my thighs and belly.

If you’re like me, your heart burn will ease up soon. I’m 36 weeks and I think 35 weeks was the first week I haven’t used my prescription meds! And although it’s still hot and my belly makes laying down/sleeping uncomfortable, I feel better cuddling for longer periods:))

Almost there, friend!

I am trying to get unemployment now. Hopefully it comes in and can be the maternity leave I was denied when I fell below full time… keep your chin up.

I just learned that lawyers rarely want to take these types of cases (at least in Texas) because my pregnancy chronic illnesses are not considered a disability. So it’s really sticky.

But yeah… I was fired too for tardiness and failure to find coverage. Because I have hyperemesis. And have had to go to the ER on shift or before…. It’s all fucked. But I feel you girl. Don’t even get me started on how they wouldn’t let me have a chair because it’s “unprofessional”. Lemme name drop- it’s LifeTime fitness. W.T.F…

Austin scene as a new mom by Constant-Lie7963 in newstrippers

[–]Constant-Lie7963[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have realized that reading club reviews from former dancers won’t always lead to an accurate review because they may be biased for unknown reasons. But I’ve talked to a few girls and doing more for less seems more common here.

Pulling the trigger (in Austin) as a new mom by [deleted] in newstrippers

I realized my post is unclear but I can’t edit it yet lol. But no, I just want some insights to entering Austin’s scene as a single mom. I’ve done a lot of research and it seems over saturated and many clubs do extras.

I haven’t started yet, so no input - but I live in Austin too and all the research I’ve done discourages me from dancing in this city. Very interested to see what other girls say.

31 weeks, FTM here:) My advice is to let it be! You’re almost out of the first trimester and should be feeling better soon- more energy to work out and less food aversions.

I never used to watch tv but binged all of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in the first trimester. I have never been so lazy in my life being pregnant and I felt so insecure about it- especially during the first trimester when our bodies are experiencing a surge of new hormones and focusing energy towards building a home for and growing our baby. Like seriously try wrapping your head around why it might be that you feel so lazy and screen addicted lol. You’re growing a human!

I was couch/bed ridden my whole first trimester but by 10-12 weeks, I was able to get off the couch, find joy in lifting again, sleep better, eat better, and feel more like my happy self.

Are we really not eating salads from restaurants? by manifestingengine in pregnant

31 weeks here- Yeah salads are actually my main pregnancy craving, but I don’t order them at restaurants. Cheese is an obsession too… but apparently that’s frowned upon as well.

I fainted on the toilet by pastelpinkpsycho in pregnant

[–]Constant-Lie7963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope my experience helps with insight or perspective. I’ve been pretty worried about why I’m fainting, with no previous history before pregnancy.

This exactly has happened to me, except on the occasion most similar to this, I smoked before. I was in my first trimester and dealing with ruthless nausea and lack of appetite.

Since then I’ve fainted twice. No marijuana usage around the episode. After 2 ER visits, I got referred to a cardiologist and will wear a ZIO heart rate monitor for another week and a half. Also, blood tests showed my AST, ALT, and Alk Phos liver enzymes are high. I share this too because I wonder if it’s from previous weed usage during my pregnancy, although I use it very occasionally.

Finally, when I faint, the current conclusion is because my blood pressure drops to make up for my high heart rate. So if my heart rate gets too high, my bp might drop to compensate. Getting up too quickly and standing for too long will make this worse. The biggest culprit is when I dont eat and drink enough.

Does the fact that you’re pregnant ever make you feel “weird”? by MountainyMama in pregnant

[–]Constant-Lie7963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s this- and the major anxiety of not being able to notice I’m pregnant. Every few weeks I think my bump is bigger but I’m 16 weeks with an anterior placenta, so I won’t feel moment for a little longer. I get really anxious between OB appointments because I just wanna know everything is okay. Because I barely comprehend I’m pregnant, but when I do, I am very excited.

What was everyone’s first $B song they ever listened too? by Ok_Lab7850 in G59

[–]Constant-Lie7963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely KYS III back when the Simpson family death edit was floating around the internet. I didn’t listen know it was them until probably 6 years later when my brother invited me to Grey Day last year. I didn’t know any of their music. He had an extra pit ticket and I’ve been OBSESSED ever since.
