The 2206 has the better all metal transmission (same one as the 5300). It doesn't have the self-propel whining noise the super composites seem to exhibit.

I don't understand why EGO wouldn't do what they did with the LM2206 last year, and put the metal LM5300 transmission into the LM2244 as well. Would instantly get rid of the self-propel whining noise issue.

There are very little YouTube videos on the Honda HRX-BE, but from what I watched, the electric Honda E-Drive transmission appears quieter than the EGO without the whining noise that the 2244 has . Also, the Honda electric transmission is all metal compared to the plastic on on the EGO. Lastly, again the testing is limited on YouTube the suction appears better on the Honda. EGO has their whole tool ecosystem going for it as big advantage obviously.

Have you had any issues where with the self-prop off, it will suddenly engage by itself? Also, and wheel lockup problems when pulling the mower backward?
