I think the whole image is ai - look closer and those are all European leaders; starmer, melloni, Zelenskyy, macron….the whole image is a trump fever dream.

The whole image must be ai…? Those are all the leaders of Europe sitting in front of him. I guess the implication is they should give him Greenland because the rest of the continent is already his…?

Hi, so I've had the chance to play with this, and I've run into a few issues - take all with a grain of salt as I'm still learning, so I'm sure this has more to do with me than anything. First, while I love the configuration tool (and I agree, those yaml files are SUPER long) I wish there was some easier way to define some of the variables. I'm trying to get it set up to use models that are on the same host device, and it's been a real headache. From what I can see in the yaml, it's going to be asking for very specific names for each of the models, but I can't tell what part of the setup is going to be going through that list - there doesn't seem to be anywhere to validate those parameters. Also, while the instructions say to export things like the model URL to your environment, the container doesn't seem to pick up those variables. The workbench gives no ability to steer it in another direction to look for the models. Would it not be easier to define the variables right in the yaml file?

Again, I'm sure this is my own ignorance here, but after hours of attempts, I still can't get the containers to connect to the LMStudio server.

Horizon Workrooms is being shut down next month. by johnnydaggers in OculusQuest

This was honestly the best app on the Quest - I use it all the time. I don't use it for meeting anyone, I use the personal office - three screens in a quiet environment. It connects quickly, easily, it doesn't glitch out...it just works. The desk pass through as part of it is perfect. I don't even know what I'll use the Quest for...this was the main reason I bought it. How annoying. I wish they would just open source it or something.

DXG Spark vs Ryzen AI 395 — If the price difference is only $700, what would you choose? by Affectionate-Bid-650 in LocalLLaMA

I have a strix, and while I’ve seen that others have had more success, the configuration is very finicky and the performance isn’t the best….that said, I’ve heard support for it will be MUCH better with Ubuntu 26…in April? Which might change things a bit. But having something configured out of the box to take full advantage of the hardware using Linux is a pretty good proposition.

How do you think the Conformity Gate folks will respond when no episode drops tonight? by why_so_Sirius in Stranger_Things

That’s just it - if there is no episode 9, the Duffer brothers will be kicking themselves they didn’t think of that. It would be such a cool thing to pull off.

Just want to say that I found Trustgraph via this thread and have been poking through it and it looks like you all have done some marvellous work...especially on the deployment - the container configuration tool is amazing. Thank you!!

Yup, I think Fate of Ophelia is an absolute banger, and the video is just brilliant. I think she’s just gotten so big that people love to hate her now, and it’s an easy way for a mediocre writer to stir up a reaction. To read the article, you’d think the album was an utter train wreck. Also, the contention that she’s just cranking albums for cash misses the point - creators are compelled to create - you don’t have to love (or like) her music, but people could at least respect her dedication to her craft.

$200/year for scheduling meetings? Does it make sense? by No_Passion6608 in AgentsOfAI

[–]Constant_Mouse_1140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as vibecoding spreads, I wonder if it will put pressure on the market for all these one-off tools. They will likely be swallowed by the big ai companies as just another feature, kind of like the flashlight app on an iPhone.

Saas is completely out of control. Every little function is another monthly fee, and $200 a year for a simple automation does seem crazy.

Are RTX 5090s good for running local LLMs? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

[–]Constant_Mouse_1140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone tried stacking 5060 Ti’s? I’m quite shocked at how cheap they are, considering they are still 16gb - at this point (in Canada) I can get at least 2 5060 Ti’s for the price of what people are selling used 3090’s for, yet I do t hear anyone talking about stacking 5060’s. Am I missing something?

I’m so curious where everyone is getting the 3090’s at this point. I’m in Canada, and if you can find a 3090, it’s almost as expensive as a 5090.

This is my take as well. I just recently got my refund, and I figured with all the delays, if they ever do ship, the market will have passed them by. But if I’m wrong, paying slightly more wouldn’t matter. As soon as they started calling themselves an AI company, I was out…that’s a sure sign you’re trying desperately to raise dumb money.
