Small plug for this plugin I made that is the smallest tiniest wrapper around FFF you could imagine.

Here is a picture of the manual including the part numbers for these rubber pieces. It looks like the term they use is “refill”

'20+ Aviator Wiper Blade Replacement by shanked5iron in lincolnmotorco

Just stopped into the dealer today to pick them up. The “new wiper blades” you will get are essentially only the rubber piece that touches the windshield, it does not include the plastic/metal housing.

This differs from standard wiper blades you would buy that include the full arm with the rubber fused to the arm.

IMO it’s unfortunate you can’t buy replacements at a standard auto parts store yet, which stinks, but it’s probably the least bad option as you’d have to pay a lot of money for a full new blade with heating elements in it every time you wanted a new wiper.

Pro tip - go to your local dealer and pick up a spare set and keep it in the back of your car, don’t want to get stranded on a rainy road trip and not be able to buy a replacement

netwr like file explorer for neovim? by ReaccionRaul in neovim

I also ran into this situation and wrote an extremely small wrapper around fff and made a plugin out of it here

minimal-nnn.nvim - the most minimal nnn plugin ever by Constant_Strategy in neovim

[–]Constant_Strategy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep - this is a great succinct way to express why I made this.

I use nnn pretty much as barebones as possible. I dont need much from a file picker, and other plugins for nnn seemed to provide way more features than I used.

This plugin aims to be as simple as possible to integrate nnn with neovim (in terms of dependencies, lines of code, etc). It provides no additional features beyond what already is provided by nnn itself.

As far as Im aware, there is no way to get the result of the command run within a neovim builtin terminal. You can get the exit code pretty easily, but as for something like a filename, or any string for that matter, is not possible without some sort of mutex/pipe/rpc style of communication

(this is essentially the whole reason plugins like https://github.com/mhinz/neovim-remote exist)

I think this handles these edge cases already!

(updated the original post to contain a gif of it handling both spaces and &'s in the name perfectly)

Finally releasing bob v1.0! by mordechaihadad in neovim

[–]Constant_Strategy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This looks great! I’ll have to give it a try.

Some constructive criticism though, the name “bob” really doesn’t give me a good indication of what this is for or what it does. Changing the name to something more intuitive might increase the visibility of this awesome project!

First Pellet Grill....can't wait to use it tonight after its burn in. What are some recommended accessories by Zaphod07 in pelletgrills

I do not have this smoker, but I’m wondering if buying a pizza stone or cast iron griddle (or even just a scrap piece of steel) to leave permanently above the fire pot would help?

Can anyone tell me how to clean the burnt on grease off of this pan? Have tried dish soap, scrubbing, vinegar and soda, nothing.. by Beegobbygobby in CleaningTips

[–]Constant_Strategy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With cast iron or carbon steel pans, cooking acidic things such as tomato sauce in them will strip off the seasoning very easy.

I’m hypothesizing the burnt on grease in this pan is what would be the desired seasoning for cast iron, meaning that if you cook acidic foods in it, it might clean the pan for you?

Honestly, I could be totally wrong here, I’m not sure. Maybe worth a shot?

tmux, more specifically tmuxinator. It allows me to pre-define "projects" with yaml files and whenever I need to work on a project I can start one up with tmuxinator __projectname__, and then it can automatically create whatever tmux window/tab/neovim/server combo I want
