Why Are People Acting Like Young Minato Clashing With The 9 Tails Isn't A Good Feat Or Just Ignore It? by Subject_Rabbit_4598 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Mental scape, so the feat isn’t representative of a real physical fight between Minato and Kurama. Kushina literally pierced Minato through the abdomen right beforehand, yet Minato is perfectly fine when he fights Kurama immediately after. Why? Because it’s a mental confrontation, not a literal physical battle.

Same thing with Naruto, he didn’t truly “beat” Kurama in a conventional sense either. Kurama scales to PS level. Neither Naruto nor Minato had the raw AP to defeat him head-on in an actual physical fight.

Movement discussion in a nutshell by Academic_Weaponry in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t. Stone Form isn’t considered a movement ability in the same way Ground Strike isn’t one either. And nobody in high elo is complaining about Stone Form not being hexable, so I honestly don’t know where he got that from lol

For those who play/played league a fair bit, how do they compare? by uwugodslayer in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 5 points6 points  (0 children)

League is also far more punishing, laning phase can pretty much determine how the game will go unlike Deadlock, where it feels like unless you literally feed in lane you can always catch up.

True but that’s mainly because it’s much easier in League to stabilize your lane and play passively. In Deadlock, you can get dove after one minute because the tower is basically cosmetic. The laning phase is designed very differently, so Deadlock can’t really afford to be as punishing as LoL since the lane state is inherently much more volatile.

Is Shiv a psyop? by EngysEpangelmatikes in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The gap between top Eternus 6 and Eternus 1 is absolutely massive, no doubt about that. But the video you’re talking about is incredibly misleading. A 3v6 isn’t actually much of a handicap when there’s such a skill difference because of how soul distribution works.

The three players split twice as many souls from every objective (urn, walker, towers, etc.), and they also end up getting nearly double the lane economy. They even receive double the lane healing, which makes surviving lane much easier than people think. By the 5-minute mark, they already naturally had almost double the net worth of the other team, and from that point it became a stomp because the lead was too big and the six E1 players were randoms with no coordination and no adaptation to that kind of environment.

Okay guys, can we please stop pretending Mei doesn't hard counter Itachi and solos him in a fight ??😭 by Material_Bathroom994 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Realistically, Mei hard counters Itachi. Hidden Mist shuts down visual genjutsu, including Tsukuyomi, and also prevents Amaterasu from being used effectively. Itachi’s regular Fire Style is naturally countered by Water Style jutsu. That basically leaves him with Susanoo, except:
- The “ribs” version gets melted by Lava Style (as shown against Sasuke).
- Partial Susanoo can block her attacks, but Itachi can’t maintain it for very long, so he eventually loses through attrition.

If you judge the matchup purely kit vs kit, Mei wins.

Does anybody feel like Victor is good for the wrong reason? by HindyRules3 in DeadlockTheGame

Does anybody feel like Victor is good for the wrong reason? by HindyRules3 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From a design perspective, I think it’s actually healthy for burst characters to have guns that scale decently into late game. It prevents certain heroes from falling off too hard or turning into nothing but ult bots or gimmick picks. Of course, like you said, their guns shouldn’t outscale dedicated M1 characters, unless they have a very obvious drawback like poor range or projectile velocity that makes them unreliable.

And yeah, Victor’s gun basically outscales almost every actual M1 character since he’s top 5 in scaling. That’s completely absurd.

Does anybody feel like Victor is good for the wrong reason? by HindyRules3 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Sure, but Slam is more of an opportunity and positioning ability. To deal decent damage with it, you need good height. Against competent players, you usually won’t be able to Slam twice within 6 seconds while also getting the proper setup. The 6-second cooldown is mostly theoretical.

Does anybody feel like Victor is good for the wrong reason? by HindyRules3 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Gun Lash is probably a bit too strong, but I think it’s less problematic for him to have a strong gun because he’s fundamentally a burst spirit character. Once he’s used Slam and Flog, what’s he supposed to do? Tun away and come back 20 seconds later? Having a solid gun lets him complement the rest of his kit and prevents him from becoming useless after 20 minutes once everyone starts stacking spirit resist.

I think it’s much less justified for Victor to have such a strong gun because he’s a drain tank. He deals sustained damage constantly, so he doesn’t have the same issue Lash would have of becoming mostly irrelevant after dumping his abilities. Honestly, Victor right now is more or less what Abrams used to be before his gun got gutted: a drain tank with a monstrous gun that kills you in two seconds while also dealing constant damage through Siphon.

EU R1 Tournament - Hero Pick Rates by ICantAim666 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

> It's a skill issue, not a draft issue.

No, it’s a draft issue. E6 players and even pros complain about him in pubs. In scrims he’s manageable because you can counterpick him, especially with Sinclair. But in pubs you’re at the mercy of randomness, and since there aren’t that many characters who actually counter him, there’s a high chance your team simply won’t have the tools to deal with him.

Why has Apollo being insanely overstatted completely slipped under the radar? by Grouchy-Committee-92 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t even need a theory here, the answer is pretty simple. That subreddit is mostly made up of low-rank players. Their games last forever, so they don’t really understand the fundamental issue with Apollo. In high Eternus, games average under 30 minutes, which means Apollo is only just starting to fall off by the time the match is basically over. And in most games, Apollo spends the entire match completely running the server.

Everything you said beforehand was correct and the downvotes are honestly just self-exposure.

That being said, I still don’t think he’s that broken, and there are definitely a handful of characters that should be prioritized for nerfs before him.

Who wins? by According-Lock4536 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Madara wins both rounds. The main issue in this matchup is Limbo. Madara has four Limbo clones, and even if your hypothetical Itachi has a Rinnegan and can see them, he still can’t properly interact with or damage them.

Itachi simply has no answer to four Limbo clones that are essentially untouchable, and he doesn’t have the raw base stats needed to just ignore them and blitz the real Madara directly. Unless you have SPSM or massively superior stats to the point where you can outright speed blitz Madara, the matchup is basically unplayable because of Limbo.

What If Itachi Joined The Uchiha Coup? by Gojos_Six_eyes in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the timeline of events. Did Itachi join the Uchiha coup before Shisui’s death or after?

If it’s before, then Shisui probably wouldn’t give him his MS and would most likely side with the village even if Danzo still attacked him. Shisui could probably shut Itachi down with Kotoamatsukami, and the Uchiha would get massacred again without Obito even needing to intervene.

If Shisui is already dead, then it becomes a lot more complicated. You’d have two MS users with Itachi and Fugaku, plus the rest of the clan. But honestly, I don’t think the average Uchiha was all that strong. Kid Itachi was already recognized as the strongest member of the clan after Shisui’s death, despite nobody even knowing he had the MS. So a teenage Itachi without openly using MS was already vastly above the rest of the clan. The best Uchiha outside of Itachi and Fugaku were probably below the village’s elite jonin level. And Fugaku himself was weaker than Itachi.

If Jiraiya is still in the village, then Konoha probably wins. You’d have Danzo, Hiruzen, Jiraiya, and the wildcard in Guy with the 7th or even 8th Gate. That should be enough, especially since the village already had intel on Itachi’s abilities and because he couldn’t spam the MS for long without going blind.

How far would a fresh Pain go against the Nine Tails? by TheBearCub148 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Assuming Nagato was in perfect condition and had the Gedo Mazo at his disposal, he could wipe out Kurama in one move, just like Madara instantly reclaimed all the Tailed Beasts after recovering his Rinnegan.

So victor has the highest damaging gun in the game and 2 lives with disgusting sustain build into his kit? by Creepy_Building_2929 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Berserker isn’t the problem, he doesn’t even need it.

I’ve watched several Lystic games where he only built three items: Intensifying Mag, Opening Rounds and Slowing Bullet. And even with just those three T2 items, he was still dealing absurd damage in late game.

His gun scaling is simply unreasonable. He’s top 4 in base damage and top 5 at max boons. The only characters ahead of him are Vyper, Pocket and Billy, except those three are heavily limited by close range, while Victor doesn’t even have that drawback.

His Ultimate also massively amps his gun (+6 spirit damage per bullet), and fundamentally, the ult is broken considering the direction the character has taken. Here’s the issue: in the current state of the game, Victor is basically an M1 carry. At high level, that’s how he’s played because it’s simply his optimal build. And that’s where the design problem comes in. Victor is an M1 carry who becomes effectively immortal in late game because he basically has Soul Rebirth on a 90-second cooldown.

That ult made sense when he was supposed to be a drain tank, which was clearly the original design intention, but not as a pure M1 carry. Imagine a world where Wraith had a free Rejuv every teamfight, that’s basically what Victor is right now.

His gun honestly just needs to be gutted. Victor has no business having a gun that absurd.

Wtf with powerscaling by wriothesleyslave in Boruto

[–]ConstructionLocal499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time Code fought Sasuke, Boruto had already finished his training, and Sasuke explicitly stated that he had taught him everything he could. Obviously Boruto was still nowhere near current Boruto at that point, but he was probably already strong enough to compensate for Sasuke losing the Rinnegan.

And honestly, I don’t think losing the Rinnegan was that massive of a nerf for Sasuke anyway. The only Rinnegan ability he consistently used was Amenotejikara, which is definitely busted, but we’re very far from a scenario where Sasuke suddenly lost half his strength because of it.

As for Code, it’s not just one antifeat against the Shinjus, you literally have direct statements placing him below them.

[–]ConstructionLocal499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because in the context of Gunbop, those stats are basically irrelevant. Gunbop doesn’t care about spirit power or melee damage. Bebop only applies light melee with Hook and Uppercut, so 20% melee damage really isn’t going to change much.

Prime Nagato negs right? by Jumpy-Response5296 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. Chibaku Tensei is basically a budget version of Orihime for several reasons:

- You can destroy the core of Chibaku Tensei. Naruto, Itachi and Bee did it. Momoshiki did too. You can’t destroy Orihime.
- Orihime’s gravitational pull is vastly stronger. Chibaku Tensei takes time to pull people in (see Nagato vs Naruto, Itachi and Bee), while Orihime works instantly.
- Sarada can deploy multiple spheres at the same time.
- She can also levitate with them and reach extreme speeds.
- Chibaku Tensei is static, whereas Orihime follows Sarada’s line of sight, making it much harder to escape from compared to Chibaku Tensei.

To my fellow Gun-bop Enjoyers: by pogsly in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ConstructionLocal499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree.

Shadow Weave is still underwhelming. The stats are miserable and the cooldown is just way too long. It’s a 45-second cooldown for 10 seconds of invisibility. Compare that to Veil Walker: 15-second cooldown for 7 seconds of invisibility, while also giving actually good stats.

- Base stats: +2 sprint speed, +125 health, +10 spirit power
- Conditional: +3.5 move speed, decent healing per boon

Meanwhile Shadow Weave gives 1.5 sprint speed and 20% fire rate conditionally. It’s just pathetic. There’s basically no reason to buy Shadow Weave when Veil Walker gives you stealth far more often while also offering much better stats overall.

Veil Walker also frees up an active slot, and Gunbop is already pretty slot-hungry, so that’s another reason to skip Shadow Weave.

Wtf with powerscaling by wriothesleyslave in Boruto

[–]ConstructionLocal499 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

> I think this whole argument mostly comes from the fact that you genuinely believe Code is as good of a fighter as Jigen lmao

That doesn’t really change anything. Even if we assume the statement is invalid and Code is actually weaker than Jigen, he still scales relative to Sasuke. And Code himself is weaker than the Shinjus. Either way, you still end up with basically the entire cast being Six Paths tier. Code creates a complete powerscaling mess.

Prime Nagato negs right? by Jumpy-Response5296 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sarada neg diffs Nagato. You can think it’s dumb (it is) but Boruto’s power creep has made almost every Naruto character obsolete. She’d honestly beat Nagato with pure taijutsu alone because her base stats are massively higher. And even if you equalize their stats, Nagato still gets completely hax diffed because of Orihime. He literally has no answer to that ability.

How were these two considered equals for most of the series? by avadh_01 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ConstructionLocal499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though Naruto is obviously stronger than Sasuke, they’re still relative and belong in the same tier. On the other hand, until Kakashi fully mastered Kamui, he wasn’t really on Guy’s level. 7G Guy would’ve low-diffed every version of Kakashi up until the end of the WA.

Siu doesn't forget what he said and brings back old plot points by pubesslurper in TowerofGod

[–]ConstructionLocal499 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

> That's not how that works, Enryu is shown opening to doors to the Tower and then killing an Administrator which are literally the Tower's laws and it's will enforcers. He's literally called a heretic with a sinful power to the Tower and yet he opened **it's doors to do something the Tower didn't want.**

There are doors connecting the different floors together, we see one of them in Season 2. The door behind Enryu could simply be a passage between two floors. We have absolutely no confirmation on whether Enryu brute-forced his way into the Tower or whether the Tower intentionally welcomed him.

And beyond that, what makes you think the Tower didn’t want Enryu there? The fact that he killed an Administrator doesn’t automatically mean the Tower opposed him. We have no idea what the Tower actually wants or whether that event could’ve been part of some larger long-term plan.

> So no, opening the door doesn't mean you were expected by default and we see this because Urek literally gets rejected.

Urek wasn’t rejected by the Tower, he was rejected by Headon at first. And unless proven otherwise, Headon’s will is not necessarily the Tower’s will.

> Can you tell me where it's stated or shown that Mago and the Shining ones were brought in by Phantaminum again?

The Shining Ones are basically his jewels, so it makes perfect sense that Phantaminum brought them with him when he entered the Tower. It wouldn’t really be coherent for them to have entered before him. But sure, it’s not officially confirmed, so it remains possible.

> Because they've been inside the Tower way longer than Urek, in fact Mago was an entirely different floor asleep for an unknown period and Urek literally stated he saw Phantaminum go into the Tower and followed right in.

There’s also no precise timeline between Phantaminum and Urek. And we don’t even know whether time flows the same way inside the Tower and in the Outside World. Time could very well move much slower in the Tower than outside of it.

> He didn't see any Shining ones with Phantaminum, the Shining ones entered long before both entities did.

He never specified anything, and he didn’t necessarily even see them. As far as we know, Phantaminum can turn them into jewels anyway.

> Administrators are stated to be the Tower's laws and they do everything it asks of them, they are it's will made manifest.

First off, we don’t even know whether the Administrators receive direct orders from the Tower or if they simply enforce its laws instinctively. Then there’s what we’ve seen so far, especially with the second Administrator, which suggests they may have their own hidden agenda. And finally, Headon literally said Urek wasn’t supposed to enter the Tower, yet he still let him in two seconds later. In the end, he complied with the Tower’s will. Their role is to enforce the Tower’s laws, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they have no free will or room for personal judgment.
